I know there's variations and exceptions. One my of best friends is overweight but he works out and eats as much as I do. But there's a difference you can tell between someone who's unhealthy and someone who's just bulky.

Same thing happened with my car, i started using less gas but was able to go farther, honestly if you blame metabolism for lack of wieght loss I think you have no grasp on energy use or thermodynamics, i used to blame my body for lack of weight loss but then i started actually changing my diet and working out 4 days a week and running the others, good day sir.

could be a number of different things. despite my weight everything else is fine, heart blood pressure, aside from allergy induced asthma and my weight, im perfectly healthy. And with Allegra added with 20oz of water i only have my weight.

A sudden change in diet makes your body panic and assume that what you have to eat isnt normal and there for must be salvage, its a defense against starvation,  it automatically gets stored as body fat,  this happens also after skipping meals.  After two weeks with out and red meat, her body stored everything she ate as body fat.  This is was due to our nomadic days of humanity where berries would store directly as fat, while we waited for our game to return, to hunt.  Humans are supposed to eat deer and fruit.  Dairy and veggies were added later.  And yes i understand thermodynamics, but it was a matter of where the food was going.  And since this is quite common, i can only assume you not being a nutritionist isnt helping your argument since this was told to me by one directly.  My family comes from Europe,  the first continent to be cursed with incorporated farming of both plants, and animals. so yes it makes sense that you can get fatter from changing your diet to a more healthy choice.  It individually effects us.

not by just changing you diet, unless your coming off a bulk and suddenly cutting (a difference of 1000k) your body wont go into starvation mode just by eating healthier or adding, stopping meat. Even if that was the case did your mother just stop eating healthy as soon as she gained weight? Ten pounds is in no way alot of weight. Portion size is the greatest factor though you can eat the worst kind of food but as long as it is under your burned calories of rthe day you wont get fat.

My dad is the bear fighting one.. Hes a little old now.. but he still is ******* strong.. he says that at his Peak he was strong, quick, good stamina, and was kick ass.. those aren't his exact words but im summing it up.. He has no neck, he is barrel chested, and is ******* awesome.. i love my dad..    
but now he works at an IT company and designs software... Its really weird seeing him in a suit shirt..

I use regular whey powder (cause it's half the price of and lasts twice as long as a mass gainer protein), 1 cup of oats, 1.5 cups of milk, and 4 tbspoons of peanut butter.

If you can't afford the protein powder just do 2 cups of milk and you're only sacrificing 130 calories and 24g of protein you can make up with egg whites or more peanut butter/oats/milk.

Just bought a lot of muscle milk so I';m good on the protein powder thanks though. My city recently built a GNC across from where I live, but only bought Creatine and protein from them. Wanted to check out the mass gainer but it's twice as much as anything else in the store.

PS: you just mix all the stuff together and eat it?

I do one scoop (1 serving) of Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey (Mocha Flavored) and then you just put it all in a blender or "magic bullet" and mix it and drink it.

You can get a giant container of all natural plain dry oats (Quaker brand) for like $5. Peanut butter and milk isn't bad priced either.

If you mix in ice it will be thicker like a milk shake. You might need a spoon towards the end to fish out the remaining oats. Don't let them go to waste though they're high calorie/protein.

im not using excuses; I'm 17, 5'9'', weigh 140, in great shape as captain of my high school swim team :) My problem is i cant gain weight -_____-

Even though I look pretty skinny im still very strong, just not big. In fact i picked up my best friend a few weeks ago (we were sorta play fighting) and she said she was really really surprised how easily I picked her up and she didn't think I could do it cuz I dont look like i do. (she's not ultra feather light like some 'petite' girls either, she's about 140 lbs).

But yea I know u meant no excuses to other people, not me personally

for a skinny person it is just as hard to put on weight as it is to lose it, even easier
i was skinny in my teens and i had to stuff myself so full of chicken breasts that i felt like
puking just to gain weight. Luckily near the end of my teens my metabolism leveled out.

that's the reason, i have an ultra quick metabolism. I eat 2 dinners everyday; one before one after practice. Now I'm not gonna force feed myself like you are, just hope my metabolism slows down a fit. it's not like that. I look like that guy except have a little bigger arms and a lot more muscle definition; way more cut. Also have that nice 'upside down triangle' shape that bodybuilders have.

that's the plan once i start college (lookin at Adelphi). I visited there last Saturday; around noon in the middle of the semester place was EMPTY, everyone still sleeping. They have a beautiful pool, basketball courts, awesome gym. Everything completely empty. I'm gonna try and get a job lifeguarding at that pool and then I can work out after. And with all-you-can-eat meals I should bulk up with working out and lots of food.

Listen up ********, before you type out stupid comments, make sure you know what he's talking about. It in't physically addictive, like nicotine in cigarettes, but is a mental addiction, in a sense that you could smoke a lot of it. Lets say you smoke like, 5 joints a day at the same time, for a year. If you stopped, you would end up feeling sick, because your body is so used to it it tricks itself into thinking that it needs it.
