Let me paint you a pictures ladies, since clearly you don't get what OP was getting at.

Guy at a party chillen, drinking, having a good time.
Girl smiles at him from accoss the room, he takes another drink for confidence goes over to her and start talking/dancing whatever. Shes drunk too. They start kissing (mutually) and both are into it. They go upstairs to a private room, and have sex, she is still saying yes, possibly because she is drunk, but so is he and the point is neither is saying NO.

The next day, she wakes up, sobers up, and realizes she cheated on her boyfriend. She claims it was Rape because she didnt like what happened. But the sad truth is the made the decision to drink, and to get in bed with the boy. In this situation she was not forced, or coerced, she chose too. like drinking and driving.

Can girls be raped? ****************. Was this rape? **** no. Do we know this is exactly what happened to her and she didnt say NO at some point? of course we dont, but from what I read, this sounds about right.

The comment never said nothing about kissing. Never said anything about talking to a man. It sounds like she was attacked in a carpark. This is the problem with the system that people assume she deserves it just because of some choices. Does this mean that i deserve to be stabbed for walking into a bad area. No it does not.

You also have to consider the female psyche. A lot of females often freeze up and are so petrified about what is happening that they just black out. Rape is not so black and white. Only the people that participated know what happened and i'm generally inclined to support the female's story and i am a man.

I would like to point out a couple of flaws in your statement, but since you posted under anon it be pointless since you probably won't ever look for the comment again :T
but I will point out she said she was flirting and drinking at the start.

as far as i read nobody assumed she deserved it (and that's the problem here)
most people tend to think (by the no so clearly described situation on the sign )
just because it mentions drinking, that they both were drunk.
the only note to why this might not have been the case is where the staircase is mentioned,
the rest is rather up to imagination

I agree, but in the eyes of the law, it's impossible to give consent when you're intoxicated. So if you ever do it drunk, you can accuse the other person of rape. Doesn't matter if it was rape or not--- it qualifies in our legal system.

Similar thing happened to some friends of mine. This chick was a slut ( not exaggerating she was underage and had more sex then most males will see in their lives, as in I know of at least 8 different guys in 2 weeks) . Now her usual move was to find a guy she likes, assure him shes 16 ( legal age in Australia). This is the start of the ******* weird ****, no one questions her age because since year 7 she has said she was 14 ( when your meant to be 11 - 12) which meant that by the time she was in year 9 ~ 10 she was over ago, however she wasn't and so all the guy she had sex with that were over age are technically committing rape.

One day she found a new guy to hit on and sent naked photos to him after talking and flirting for a while(AKA the usual for her), however this guy was in an on and off relationship with a girl and decided to show the photos to a teacher, who took him to the principal, and then the girl was called in and some of the other guys that were in our school ( 3 in all). From there the principal asked what happened and the girl panicked and said she was raped and they forced her to send the photos. Immediately police were involved the guys from our school had to give statements about not only the flirting but the sex its self ( usually with parental figures because they weren't over 18, which must of being god damn awkward). Then it came to the guy who took the photos to the principal, now he didn't have sex with her, but was accused of child pornography because of the photos on his phone of course the charge would never hold because the police had all the message logs and he never asked for the photos. Eventually after much heartache from the boys and this girls trying to escape what she'd done she dropped the charges of rape, however most of these guys still had to defend themselves against child pornography charges ( because they were sent naked photos of her too) however they were quickly dismissed as she lied about her age for sometime. But the harm was already done the guys had police records and heavy stress issues during their HSC (final year 12 exams)

This is just a story i thought id put out there that shows how easy it is for a woman to ruin mens lives just by squealing rape, or a mother by squealin domestic violence.

If anybody wants a clearer picture of the story. Series 6, Episode 7 of the show Skins deals with this exact problem ^. A guy gets with a girl at a party and starts dating her thinking she's about 17 or 18 and he only finds out later that she's 13 and immediately backs off, but she's angry with him and calls the police saying he raped her. If you don't like that sort of crap don't worry, but it's a really interesting way of touching that kind of story.

Technically in this instance neither individual gave consent...

She went along with it (she was drunk) he went along with it is well (he was drunk also).
Either individuals could of said "No" at any point if she had said "No" and he continued then this would be RAPE!, but neither did. But it will be the man who will be told he "raped" because they both got too drunk and made a mistake and she would not be willing to accept that fact she did.

No, rape is sex without consent (or if one of them were considered unable to understand consent, such as a child or a drunk).
Taking advantage of a drunk person is rape because they are not of sound mind, and that goes both ways, by the way. A girl who has sex with a guy who is too drunk to understand what is happening is a rapist.

Legally, having sex with a drunk person can be considered rape, considering they're not of clear mind to consent. Just how, legally, tattoo artists can't give you a tattoo while you're drunk.

When you're judgement and inhibitions are impaired, some people just don't control themselves like they would if they were sober. Hence why its both illegal and immoral if one person is sober and the other drunk. If they're both drunk... then that's a totally different story. lol

If someone gets drunk enough to have sex against their own will then they deserve whatever they get. This is why I don't see why alcohol is legal, if something can put you into that state of mind legally, then why the **** is cannabis not legal. You don't hear anyone say they got raped from being really high do you.

I know what you mean, but to rephrase that: "People who make the decision to drink are doing so with an understanding of what it might make them do while they're drunk. Therefore, while choosing to drink, you are taking responsibility for what you do while you're drunk. Cannabis, on the other hand, would not put you in this position in the first place, and should be legal in place of alcohol." I agree, and would like to add that care for rape victims should only be for actual rape victims, and understanding the implications of your actions, but performing them anyway , then playing the victim later is despicable.

Red thumbs inbound, but no one on this site knows what rape is apparently. Reading through the comments, I notice people calling her a dumb bitch and other closely related things. We don't know for sure what happened. And unless she actively gives consent, it's rape. I don't care how much of an injustice this is to heterosexual males, it just is the way it is. So don't judge her on what you think happened. She may have very well been raped, we just don't know.

Hey, she got drunk, and ****** some guy...
She blames the culture that she got drunk, that she dressed in a way which only attracts sexual attention, and that her life went to **** because of it.
If she's dumb enough to: dress like a slut, get drunk enough to have sex with (or allow herself to get used by) some guy, ruins her relationships because of it, and blames culture, there is something seriously wrong with her, just as there is something seriously wrong with the culture of the nation in which she resides.
Women need to learn to dress more modestly, drink more modestly, and act more modestly before I will ever feel sympathetic to them being raped.

Your comment is incredibly offensive to the male population. What you are saying is when a male sees a woman dressed loosly, they have no control over their actions and MUST rape her. Males have a choice. Let women dress how they want. Who cares. They shouldn't have to dress more modestly just so they won't get raped. That's ridiculous. Men aren't animals despite our numerous attempts to disprove that statement.

Oh, I must agree with you...
I could got on a whole damn tangent of what men should do differently.
I won't dispute that men need to learn modesty, as well. But the subject matter of the image is how the woman is directing the blame of everything she's done at the culture, like it's not her fault.
Obviously any man who takes advantage of a woman is in dire need of a very strong ass whipping, and I'd be glad to give it to him. I just happen to know a couple of women who are ACTUAL rape victims, one was hit with chloroform, tied to a bed, and raped very savagely before waking up in the country-side without any clothes on. The other was at a club, and roofied, with similar result. a REAL rape victim will almost always blame themselves, they will almost always never come out to anyone with the full details, and rarely ever will they ever bring it up publicly, unless in a court room under testimony.

yes but womens are tricky sometimes. maybe she DID give explicit permission to have sex with her, but she was drunk, or she just tried out some new drug, or fell down the staircase, blah blah blah, then she'll feel guity for doing something stupid while drunk/high/whatever and claim rape as a scapegoat instead of living with the humiliation.

All I'm saying is, we're all humans. If society treated me like they treated women, you can bet your ass I would exploit it to the extent they'd let me. Men are just more logical in this respect because they have to learn to grow up themselves and not get society to hand them as much as they do women.

I was raped at a party at the age of 15 by a 35 old man who had 2 children and a fiance. I hadn't had anything to drink (I was being picked up later by my parents) and I was wearing a shirt and pants. I never reported it. Why? Because I thought everyone would think I'm a slut and that I was lying. Why would I believe such a thing? BECAUSE SLUTS LIKE THIS HAD MADE EVERY "RAPE" IN MY TOWN A ******* JOKE!!!

Learn from your mistake, get your nails under their eyes and take them, make a necklace with all of the eyes you've stolen and feel the power you've rightfullly earned

This is true.

The word rape transitioned far too quickly into it's post-modern term which is far too much of an umbrella term. This made people laugh at it; because technically "rape culture" is a whole load of **** (most of which i don't agree with) such as advertising with female submission, a man telling a man he's a bitch or a cunt is considered "rape" culture since it has misogynistic undertones. Hence in your situation where you may feel like you will be laughed at or people wont realise how serious that is, this really sucks - because people suddenly started referring to everything as 'rape"

The lady in the picture was the 95% of the Slutwalk population: it was to reclaim the word Slut, not to raise awareness for rape culture directly like they did.

You should report it, try your best. Not just for your sake but people like him need to be brought to ******* justice; because like it or not he probably has and will do it again to another person who he believe's isn't strong enough to act against him.
