After AC3, I want only one more. One more where they wrap up the story with Desmond. I want to play as Desmond the entire game and be freerunning around a metropolitan city while armed tot he teeth with every weapon possible. I want to finally take down Abstergo. no more of this **** with ancient assassins. I want the modern assassins. I want to finally find out the secret behind the ancient civilization in the AC universe. Ubisoft has been creating too many Assassin's Creed games. We need one to finally finish the story once and for all.

Those aren't Templars, they're Teutons. Wrong colour crosses.

Anyone know if he still has the hidden blade, i haven't seen it in the trailer :S

If they got rid of the hidden blade it wouldn't be Assassins Creed anymore. It's the games' constant icon besides the A.

...Despite the fact that one of Ezio's hidden blades is lost and replaced by a hook blade?

Am I the only one who's hoping that the new assassin to be introduced in AC3 is a woman? I feel like it'd be pretty interesting to explore what kind of impact sharing the body and mind of a heterosexual woman would have on Desmond. I think. I dunno, I think the whole premise of AC is just ripe for discussion on identity and self, and all kinds of interesting ******** , and having Desmond be a woman seems like it could either be really cool or really awful, depending on who wrote it. Because some people have this way of dehumanizing women by putting them up on a pedestal that is in some ways even more insulting than infantilizing them.

What I'm really hoping for is some sort of gender/race subplot or something.... i dunno. It seems like a cool idea to me. Maybe have her mascaraed as a guy, maybe have her sort of resent her gender for all the problems it brings her.... internalized self loathing.... whatever, it probably won't happen.

His name is Connor, its already announced
#191 to #175 - anonymous (03/29/2012) [-]
See, I knew it wouldn't happen. Damn. I'll go ahead and pretend that I think that he's just pretending to be male, I guess.

The guy you're playing as in Assassin's Creed 3 is a Native American/white mix during the American Revolution.
#187 to #171 - anonymous (03/29/2012) [-]
So, at the very least I get my race subplot! :D

The problem with that being that I feel like having... her? him? it. Having it be a woman would be just a little more... what's the word? Not poignant, but... See, what I want is an exploration of how we can put ourselves down even more than our racist strawmen can. And I feel gender is the clearest show of it. In the modern day, I feel men have the worst of it. Or, well, not really the worst of it, maybe just the saddest. I see men who limit themselves based on what they believe a man should be, who are so damn insecure, who can't allow themselves to be 'weak'... it's really sad.

The female issue is that some women sort of blame other women for not being good enough, instead of blaming the bigots for being bigots. And that's what I want right there. I want a flawed, compelling, angry youth, insecure in herself, always seeking to prove herself, more to herself than anyone, who always finds herself pulled down by things she can't change. Her race, her gender, her sexuality(?). Someone who lets the world and the opinions of others drag her down, till her whole identity, it seems, is based on what other people think of her. Someone angry and abrasive, who sees enemies everywhere and is simply not comfortable in her own skin, and...

I want a woman who hates women. That's what I want. I want a hero who will rescue the damsels only to turn on them herself. "Why can't you save yourself? Why are you so weak! Why the hell aren't you good enough?!"

That's what I want.
#173 to #171 - darthblam (03/29/2012) [-]
Tomahawks and guns. What more could you want.
#177 to #173 - catkids (03/29/2012) [-]
Or as anon said before, it could be a woman. So it's a win for men because you get Tits, Tomahawks, and guns.

picture unrelated.
#193 to #177 - anonymous (03/29/2012) [-]
I said that I want it to be a woman. I don't actually think it will be.

Also, I also said that I'd like for her to have some internalized self loathing issues based on her gender, so she wouldn't exactly be flaunting her femininity.

I seen another guy doing this, so I thought "Hey, I'm a good listener and I like to help people, so why not try it too?". So, comment on my profile or IM me through the IM system thing and I'll give some advice, or if you'd prefer, I'll just listen. I know that sometimes people feel like there's no one out there to help them, but there always is. Today, I feel like actually giving back to the community a little, and help people with their problems, and/or listen to them and give support. So, that being said, Come talk to me guys, and girls.

P.S: I'm ready for the red thumb bomb/ ********* that this may cause. But, even if it's only for helping one person, it's worth it.

Am I the only one who thinks this series has become **** ? I didn't like Revelations(let's admit, it was just a cheap way to get more money from Ezio, the multiplayer wasn't accesible if you had a third world country account as I did, and when I got it to work it was crap, and all the DLC ******** just made it worse) and I'm expecting it to go downhill from now on.

tl;dr: Assassin's Creed's dead.
#152 - xerardo (03/29/2012) [-]

#151 - anonymous (03/29/2012) [-]
Ok I want to really thank those who replied to my post about Revelations below. Pretty much all good reviews so I'll add it to my list. Now more importantly (I should've mentioned this with that post) what Is your opinion on Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood? From what I've heard, it's more of a filler and a game in the series you can skip without missing out on anything important. Again I'd be glad to know what you guys think.
#176 to #151 - casadue (03/29/2012) [-]
I loved AC II, the story was amazing and quite long. The coolest thing in Brotherhood is that you hire more assassins, but I finished it in a very short time... And one more thing: I love Venezia, so I found that playing only in Rome is quite boring.

(P.s. Bruto's armor is ******* terrible)
#158 to #151 - mericafuckyeah (03/29/2012) [-]
In terms of story, its filler on the Ezio part, but Desmonds parts are pretty significant. Granted, they're so short that you could youtube them. Personally, I loved it because of the setting.
