dreamt.
Let me tell you a couple of things.
This isn' t a way to achieve lucid dreaming.
All you will achieve is sleep paralysis.
This happens to alot of people without even
trying. Believe me when I tell you it' s the
scariest thing I' felt in my life. You are in
a paralysis state, and you hallucinate,
seeing human figures in your room or
hearing voices or both. It' s usualy diferent
for everyone. Others see an old lady in their
room, a tall guy, an ugly ghostblade woman
or what ever. Worst thing about it is that
you can' t do anything , since you
are paralyzed. So instead of controling your
dream you end up having a vivid nightmare
from wich you can' t wake up easily.
So unless you WANT to have a terrifying
experience, don' t try it and actually wish
that it doesn' t happen to you accidentaly.
I know this isn' t a funny post but I thought
people should know. :

Do you seriously have to mention you're a female?
I mean, you could've just said the 2nd part.
But no.
Being called a male term as a generalization similar to "dude" is unacceptable.
I see.

The easiest way to start having lucid dreams, is to do something repetitively every day when you are awake, like look at your watch, look away, and look at it aagin. Do this several times a day, everyday, and it will become a habit, and you will start doing it in your dreams. The way this works is when you are awake, you look at your watch and it says 3:00, you look away, look back it's the same... in a dream you look it says 3:00, look away, look back it will change because dream fluctuate rapdily. So once you notice the change, it will tell you that you are dreaming, and when you realize it, you literally can do anything.... lucid dreaming is literally the coolest thing ever, and once you've done it once, you will want to again.

you only remember your dream if you wake up before you stop dreaming. You don't dream the entire time you are asleep, and if you finish dreaming and wake up after you stop dreaming you won't remember. I guess the key would be if you realized you were dreaming, make yourself wake up and see if you remember then.

I have never been able to, but I have read that with practice you can control all aspects, just do some research on lucid dreaming and see what you can find.

Gather round kids...

One long Night of funnyjunk was gone when I saw the post about lucid dreaming. Being tired I immediately tried it. I was lying there when he came... A bald, hairless man walked up to me. He just stared at me. He had no eyes and the only thing I could see was the horrible pain inside him. He got closer and closer. I tried my best to move, to get away but everything was in vain. He almost touched my ear and I felt a cold and chilly breeze. Goosebumps ran down on my back. I heard his jaw crack when he opened his mouth. His teeth were sharp and rotten. He finally began to talk in a sad but malicious manner. I wasn't able to understand anything. He began to cough loudly and glazed in my eyes again. His pointy fingernails cut my throat. Images of my life ran through my head. This is the end, isn't it? His fingers rammed deep in my neck and all I could do is lie there, unable to scream nor shiver. The light began to fade. Before I could even pass out he told me that he needs about tree fiddy. Well it was about this time I noticed that this man was about 8 stories tall and was a crustacean from the protozoic era! Damn Loch Ness monster tricked me again!

This happened to me a while ago. I suddenly awoke in the middle of the night, but instead of fully waking up I was in sleep paralysis. At the food of my bed stood a slender but good looking woman in a red velvet dress with amazing cleavage. I just lied there for a while wondering whether I should be horny or scared, when I hear the front door open and my roommate came home. The moment the doorknob started turning, the woman floated up in the air and vanished.

tl;dr: I got cockblocked from a hallucination by my roomate.

I once tried sleep paralysis.. Scariest **** that ever happened to me.

I was sleeping next to my (ex)girlfriend in the middle of the night, when suddenly I woke up. I couldn't move at all, I just lay there, staring into the ceiling. I was paranoid as **** , a feeling I have never had since, or before that night. I knew she was next to me, but I also "knew" that I could never wake her up, and all of a sudden I started seeing these vivid, dark figures in my peripheral vision. I couldn' speak or anything.

After what felt like a ******* hour, I was finally able to move again, and i woke up the bitch next to me and cryed like a little child for half an hour.

My experience with sleep paralysis was horrible. I woke up and could not move at all. My closet is at the end of my bed on the opposite wall. Its a really tall closet and has a lot of space up top. I started hallucinating that tentacles were billowing out of it with two piercing yellow eyes glaring at me. The tentacles started going all around the room lashing at me. While this was happening i was having weird voices whispering in my ear. They weren't particularly saying anything but they were cold whispers filled with malice Then my legs kicked and everything stopped. I came out of it and was terrified and stayed up for the rest of the night. Lucid dreaming is indeed fun with all the possibilities at you fingertips. My first instinct is to fly really high in the air above the clouds and look down over the scenery. A fun thing to do is to materialize something in you hands like a sword or gun. I lucid dream on average probably once a month i feel pretty lucky. Sorry for the long post lol, i felt like i should share. Thanks for reading.

Do you have to enter sleep paralysis in order to lucid dream?
User avatar #409 to #402 - nickldd (03/19/2012) [-]
No not at all. Im not trained or anything. For some reason ill just be dreaming and notice something isnt quite right. Usually when i lucid dream i start out in my house and as im walking around it feels off so then i realize im dreaming and it becomes lucid. Beware though you can wake up from a lucid dream and be in sleep paralysis. But overall lucid dreaming is the coolest thing that humans can do. Literally anything you want to do can be done. Ive walked through walls, fly, had sex. Its just amazing.

You can try to do something unordinary every day, like pinching your arm after looking at your clock. After some time you will start to dream this, but since you pinch your arm you doesn't feel it and you realize it's a dream you can do whatever you want.

You can also do the one in this post, BUT it's a high chance of you going in sleep paralyziz

I feel you bro. I've had sleep paralysis nightmares too before. They are scary as **** . But i found a way to like break from it, to force myself to wake up. and that is. To get REALLY mad. like just start getting mad and start cursing at whatever is there in the room with you. Just keep cursing and wanting to go up to it and beat the **** out of it. Eventually you manage to get up from the paralysis and you wake up. I tried it couple of times.

One time i couldnt beacause it was next to me and i just didnt wanna look at it. :/

Extra warning for anyone reading, never EVER go too long without sleep.

One summer I thought it would be cool to go without sleep for four nights and stay up playing video games. The first few nights were okay but I started to get this tingly static feeling, and if I closed my eyes I could see floating colored shapes.

Then the next day I was watching tv and drifted off for a minute, something jolted me up before I could fall completely asleep. The spoon I had been using to eat my yogurt was floating around in front of me, even though I clearly felt it in my hand.

This went on, me trying to get away from the spiders (I was home along at the time), until suddenly everything around me got dark like it was night time. Whimpering I tried to get back to the tv room. The walls started bleeding and I heard murmuring voices and felt this unbearable sense of doom.

Suddenly this giant ass ************* tarantula, as big as a ******* elephant, crawls out of the room. There's venom dripping from it's fangs and it's covered in blood. It starts chasing me around the house.

My parents found me rocking back and forth in the hallway covered in bruises when they came home. They shook me out of it, apparently I'd been hallucinating for hours.

We contacted a professional and apparently I had triggered a very rare state of mind where I was dreaming but in real life (and I could move around and perceive things) I forget what it was called, phycoderpderpsomething.

Anyway, people wonder why I'm so good about my sleeping schedule now.

the *********************** to lucid dream is this (I do it all the time): it will either have to be in the morning, when you have time to hit the snooze button or during a nap. Allow enough time to get into REM sleep. have an alarm to wake up to; when it goes off, wake up, you can even open your eyes, but dont sit or stand up. you need to be awake enough to focus on what you want to lucid dream about, but not so much that you are alert. close your eyes and picture your desired dream as detailed as you can, hopefully you will be drifting off to sleep while still telling yourself that you are in control of your dream.

Can you continue a dream that you just woke up from? Because I feel i've done this in the mornings when I've been too lazy to get up after my alarms gone off, I've felt like i've recreated the dream to continue on from where it may have left off.

I have these dream paralisys i thought they were night terrors or something...
it only happens to me since i've moved to a rental house (we're re-building our old house) and now i live 21 days in a mine-site and it dosen't happen here...
I once saw a kid after feeling this evil presence in my room trying to convince me of something the kid walked up to my face grabed my hands in his and looked at me with dazed eyes i felt like telling him to **** off that he was a part of this and i try to spit on him, i then woke up screaming my brothers name (his room is next to mine, and i felt as i didn't have enough strength to shou and t that my mother wouldn't hear me). it happend a few more times and it's like my legs start lifting in the air by some weird force and allways an evil presence is felt, the last time i had one i tryied to be brave (note that it's your subconcient working as well so it's hard to control your feelings i.e. fear) and i was brave enough to have this feeling of going towards the evil presence while telling it to **** off even tho i felt restraint and scared i didn't wake up that time after that i had a dream about The Simpsons in which homer was a porn star and he made lot's of money because people found his movies funny and marge was angry, bart wanted to be a pornstar as well and everything was in a 70's style homer had a moustache like burt reynold and a W(hite)afro. It was very funny and took the pressure off my waking up, i felt it was reward for being brave(my brain is ****** up i guess)
sorry for any spelling or grammar errors im typing fast and english is not my native language.
