No, I'm saying he is implausible because as of right now, there is no evidence on his side. The only thing that attempts to explain it is the bible, which is not technically a reliable source. So while theists are spending the time "interpreting" the bible, in other words drastically butchering what it says in order to explain the phenomenon that proves it wrong, other people would rather do more productive things and use the knowledge that science and math gives us to cure diseases, explore space, increase our standards of living, etc.

Its not knowing evolution that's important, its being able to analyze new ideas and if sufficient evidence is given, accepting that idea and removing the false one. That is the only reason we are where we are today. If it wasn't for the Enlightenment period, where enlightened scholars questioned the church and its beliefs, there wouldn't even be the technology to cure such diseases. If it wasn't for the people who sacrificed their lives and were murdered by the church because of their pursuit of knowledge and new ideas, we'd still be in a medieval period of ignorance and chaos.

Humans do not have that ability. Take one quick look at the inner workings of the school system. Darwinism has been pretty much dropped in favor of punctuated equilibrium.. Except they don't teach that.

replying to this message cause we are out of purple lines. So if god, an all powerful being created the universe, then the universe would run like it was created. Everything would just happen because god wants it to. But seeing how the universe runs on a 3 dimensional coordinate plane following rules of physics and other high level mathematics and sciences, makes it highly unlikely for a god to have created it. Now if a god created it to be that way, well then there would have to be evidence for that happening. Because anything that happens in our rational universe leaves a trace. it leaves some kind of evidence. So even if an irrational being was able to create, destroy and control anything in our rational universe, there would be evidence to support it. Which as of right now, there is clearly not.

Its funny you speak of the eye. Giving up on this debate only shows that you don't have any more counter arguments against me, and are going to now argue like a typical theist; put your fingers in your ears and refuse to even listen, and the fact that you keep trying to change the subject off certain topics instead of acknowledging that you were wrong. PS. the theory of evolution we use today is not the same as Darwin's. It has the same principle, yet it itself has evolved with the new modern discoveries and advancements in science. It hasn't completely changed, just tweaked. Now you my friend, are ignorant. I am atheist, i have no beliefs. I follow the scientific method to approach every characteristic of life. Give me evidence, and i will change my mind. That in no way is being blinded. You on the other hand, refuse to take into account any of what i have been saying simply because you know it destroys your whole argument against science and it questions your beliefs. Now that, is being blinded by faith.

I didn't give up; I simply had other things to do.
You can not possibly have no beliefs. For you to have no beliefs, you must be completely braindead. My argument is not against observational science; it's against the crap that everyone just assumes is true even though it's full of massive holes. The eye was trouble for Darwin on its own, but we've gone much deeper and found much more complex things.

I'm talking about grades 5-9. little kids who need to learn how to absorb information first. Back to my example about electron theories. i highly doubt you can teach the quantum mechanical theory of electrons to a 6th grader. They would not understand any of it, and in the process, lose out on sharpening their skill of learning simply because they didn't learn ****. They might of even been taking notes and paying attention, but they simply don't have the background knowledge of lower lever mathematics and science to back the claims the teacher is making. Therefore destroying the system of learning. It is alright to learn false information when you are younger, you have no use for it at that point. Reasonable human beings will adapt to new information. They will replace the false with the new because there is evidence to back it. Now a person blinded by faith will not. They will learn whatever they are told to learn by their parents, or their religious institution or by whatever other reason they believe in the first place, and will not accept anything else.

And those who still follow Darwin when he himself admitted that if something as complex as DNA is were found, his theory would fall apart.
The eye itself was trouble enough at the time, and DNA is incredibly more complex.
You are ignorant and blinder by faith.

you cant keep using punctuated equilibrium as an example. Well you can, but your basically say this: Evolution was once thought to be true, but now there is punctuated equilibrium. It has more evidence than evolution, therefore punctuated equilibrium is true and evolution is not... and that is contradictory towards your initial view that god created man and the universe. The school system sucks. No doubt. throughout middle school, you learn that Bohr's electron model is correct, yet when you reach high school and college level chemistry, you learn that it isn't and the quantum mechanical theory of the electron is more accurate. What i am saying is you go to school to learn how to learn. Whether the information is correct, you still need to know how to absorb information and if your teacher has evidence to beck their claims, then you should accept their hypothesis. It is when you get into high education where you learn actual things that will be relevant to you in your life, and it is there where the information must be correct. I'm pretty sure in college level biology, you learn about punctuated equilibrium, evolution and probably many more theories of why we are here and how we got here.

I already posted an article replying to this.
It's not ********. God was simply here before time.
It may be hard to You need to login to view this link ap your undeveloped logic around it, but that's how it goes.

so out of the trillions of possible universes and dimensions, you Christians think that you've pinpointed the exact one? i call ******** on that. from earlier conversations you've posted I've seen you're a creationist. so you think that humans just showed up one day ready to learn? again calling ********. if Adam and Eve were real, that would mean that they had sex with each other and then their kids had sex with each other. so we're all inbred? i bet your ass is jealous of all the **** that comes out of there.

I don't understand what you're saying. Yes, there was a lot of incest in the early times. Is that a surprise?

no, if adam and eve were the first two people on earth then all their kids were related right? and if they didnt reproduce then we wouldnt be here right? so technically, everyone would be related then. thats ********. and how about my other two points? what do you have to say about them?

Really?

read my argument then.
1. out of all the possible universes, dimensions, beliefs, etc(millions upon trillions of possibilities), you chose to believe a book written by a human being to explain god.
2.creationists do not believe in evolution, so you think humans just showed up one day ready to learn?
its all subjective. we probably will never find out if god is real or not so why dwell on it? try to improve the lives of other while you can. make advancements to cure cancer or find a cleaner fuel instead of waiting for some man in the sky to send you to a kingdom in the sky whre you live forever or for a man underground to torture you for eternity. theres a reason its called the enlightenment period when humans made great achievements toward science, medicine and strayed away from church teachings and theres a reason it was called the dark ages when we were only allowed to believe in one religion and if you question it you die.

I don't know how alternate universes are relevant to this discussion.
And yes, I do believe we were just created. I honestly don't see how that's so hard to believe.
From your perspective, that we just came from random chance.. WHY BOTHER WITH ANYTHING? Just do what you enjoy, be it murdering people or rape or whatever. If we weren't created for a purpose, then why should there be laws at all? What rights have the government to punish us for doing what we enjoy? Hmm?
Also, I don't know where you get these ideas about the Dark Ages, but they were in no way caused by religion. If you feel the necessity to make that link, then it was because Christians were being prosecuted.
Do your research.

well considering christianity was a large part of the dark ages, and people did get killed for not believing in it, yeah it kinda was related. it wasnt caused by it but it was a large part of it. and alternate universes are related because the article you posted said god lived outside our dimension or universe. and about the whole "government" thing, i dont think people like it when everyone is stealing from them, raping their relatives and friends and its basically every man for himself. governments have helped and hindered us but we'd be nowhere without them. and how exactly is it possible we just showed up one day without any rhyme or reason? i highly doubt that is even possible. and how is the world only 6000 years old despite the mountains of evidence we've presented against it? dinosaur bones? those arent 6000 years old at all. fossils of beings that lived in the water million of years older than dinosaurs? those are definitely not 6000 years old.

Who cares what other people like? If there's no higher power we need to answer to, we should do what's best for us.
I think what the article meant by alternate dimension was that God lived before time.

again you ignore my argument. FOSSILS. where did they come from huh? did "god" put them there? if we did whatever we wanted, chances are someone else wont like that. they will do a lot to stop us including physical violence and killing. people do not like dying ********.

I understand what you are saying there, but at lease science is trying to find the answer to what was before the big ban theory, instead of wasitng what may possibly be our only life praying towards a person who, probably, judging by scientific discoveries, does not exist.

Judging by scientific discoveries, there never was and never will be any proof for a Big Bang or anything before it. And thus, by your logic, it never happened.

Yes, but YOU claim to not have "faith" in anything, so you're just contradicting yourself. I never said I need solid proof of God, but you say that there needs to be solid proof for something for it to have happened. There's no solid proof for God, so he never happened. Then the Big Bang never happened, and Evolution never happened.

if we talk like that, there's no solid proof of anything, surely?

For all we know, we could be part of one of literally trillions upon trillions of parralel universes, or could simply be just the inside part of a cell, which is part of a single animal, in a whole other universe?

All I'm saying is, we should strive to understand the things around us, instead of following blind faith. But I respect you for having a good debate, instead of shoving religion and Jesus down people's throats, as per usual with religious types

But you have blind faith in Evolution. It's not just facts that you're believing. It's not something you've observed. It's something that somebody else told you, and you have faith in that person. Did you know that the school systems are manipulated so that biology teachers don't say anything against Darwin? Even if it's irrefutably true?

I don't have blind faith in evolution. I believe that, looking t the other theories available at this moment in time, to me, it seems the most believable. As long as there was enough evidence for another claim, I could be "converted" into believing that theory instead. WScientists still call it a theory because It cannot be proven. And just liek everything else in the government systerm, school is also corrupt, so not much we can do there

It's still more believable than Darwinism. It's just an example because the school system is so corrupt that even a more scientifically-stable theory is completely pushed out the window for it.. Bah.
