Except the Natives didnt have a nation or organized govenment, they were just squaters...

Actually, the Natives were the first ones to create voting for a government (chief and council) and not having kings and queens/princes or princesses to carry out ruling a kingdom..

No you dumb **** , the Greeks invented democracy.

Someone knows how to read and believe everything they read off of the Internet... Maybe try reading a few books and talking to people about things. ?

The Native Americans have had Democracy long before the Greeks. The Native Americans have been here for a reeally long time.

How is it that we were doing it, even long BEFORE we knew about the Greeks? Did someone give us a phone call or a message in a bottle and say that we should start deciding our Governments that certain way??

And since most Americans are either directly from Europe or have European ancestry they would have brought democracy to America because democracy was invented in Europe.

You're the one who said that it was the Greeks invented Democracy, not the Celts ;) So now you're going back on what you said?

The Celts were European you dumb **** . Last time I checked, Ireland and Scotland were Celtic.

'twas the greeks

You are really that stupid. Even the Celts had democracy before the Native Americans.

If anything, I'd believe it was the Celts over the Greeks about who really started Democracy. The Celts were around about the time of the Ice age, and scientists have said that Native Americans actually came over to these lands on the ice at the time..

So, technically, we're both kind of right.
Unless you still think it was the Greeks ;)

well i had a peanut butter and jelly sammich today, just like what i just said, that information is irrelevant, voting for leaders does not constitute arecognized country, back to 5th grade with you

Well, I'm an Ojibway. I know my **** , and history about my people ;)

The Native Americans had an EXTREMELY Democratic and organized government. Whenever 2 tribes had their differences the Chief and council would have meetings about how to settle things, so that both tribes may fish or hunt on each others hunting grounds.
I don't know. Maybe it's just me, but, I think that having only 2 people to rule one kingdom, seems kind of like a Dictatorship to me. Why not have just let Hitler take over the world then?

Thanks for telling me to go back to school. It just shows that you know nothing.

dude, i'm on no one's side here, but talking about IRL identity as authority doesn't work in the internet. I've met senators' sons and retired governors according to what people say...

and how could the europeans be illegal immigrants if they immigrated to unclaimed land?

And if I told you that you had to go and live in a little confined area, or I'll kill your family, and friends, etc.

Wouldn't feel very nice, would it?

Does something really NEED to be signed on piece of paper to make it yours?

What if you had a house, that you owned, and it wasn't signed in any legal document in your name and I just barged in and said "I'm living here now" Would you want me out, and try to do something about it? Or just let me stay there?
#143 to #137 - theycallmeop (03/14/2012) [-]
Well why the **** would i be living in a house that i havent signed for??
User avatar #145 to #143 - randomsomehobo (03/14/2012) [-]
Ugh, it's an exemplification -_- I'm not talking about doing it right now in this day and age.
