Guys, as an expert in religion at the age of 15 ((turning 16)) because I'm living in a religious family and I've grown up going to the church and studying about religion at home I must say GTFO IF YOU HAVEN'T ACTUALLY RESEARCHED ABOUT GOD YOURSELF.
Before you say "LOLWTF A GOD CONTROLLING OUR LIVZ FROM THE SKYZ OMG SO STUPIDZZZ BAHAHA" go on the internet, read books, go to different churches from other religions and try to see what a religion is.
First of all who is Gandhi to say God and its Christians suck? He isn't a priest, or like Buddha some sort of God (( still didn't researched about Buddha so I'm not going to talk about him much and sorry if he isn't really a god I know he's a prophet.)).
There are so many evidences about Jesus Christ being born and helped blind people, reviving dead etc and God being here on our planet and watching us, helping us live everyday and we're in his hands and should respect him, love him, follow him on the other life.
He changed water into wine, sacrificed himself for us to live, forgiven us for torturing him, revived himself and people and still we're saying ******** about him? You should reconsider your words before you talk like this about him.
Big rant is big. :U

'There are so many evidences about Jesus Christ being born'
Evidence: A book written by people, who thought the earth was flat and the sun orbited around the earth.
Would you read a mathematics book with wrong or false information?
As I said to many before this conversation. If 'god' wants me to believe in him, he just have to show himself to me. For a almighty being that is a really easy task.

There are two contemporary historical texts, one roman and one jewish, mentioning a man called Jesus from Nazareth, whether you believe this is up to you. But it is generally considered true that he indeed existed, among historians and theologists.
User avatar #558 to #553 - daniboyi ONLINE (03/06/2012) [-]
Just because he existed doesn't mean he is the son of god or can walk on water, turn water into wine or heal the blind.
User avatar #559 to #558 - BraindeadBuddha (03/06/2012) [-]
No no, not at all of course, just pointing out that it's not only the bible that mentions him. He was most likely real, but of course most likely not the son of god and born from a virgin, resurrected and all that :)

He's a retard, but I'm quite sure Jesus Christ (whether he was the spawn of an evil genocidal sky fairy or not) was at least based on a real historical figure.

True, but many people all around the world would probably begin to follow him if he just showed himself.

Dude, I have personally felt God's presence and hand in my life and I seriously want to punch you right now. It's people like you that give us Christians a bad name.
#542 to #536 - renecyril (03/06/2012) [-]
right now, you're the person giving us christians a bad name...
#560 to #542 - nobleknight (03/06/2012) [-]
How do you come about that? Honestly what he has said is completely ignorant and condescending. I've met to many "Christians" that feel the need to to start **** . We are supposed to be tolerant of others faiths because they know no better. Im not here to say who is wrong or press my beliefs on them but he is blatantly being offensive and ignorant and yes I know I am not being tolerant at the moment but stuff like that makes me angry beyond reason. However at the end of the day we are all just human and prone to mistakes so I pray he doesn't become a stumbling block for others. I've said my piece so good night.
#564 to #560 - renecyril (03/06/2012) [-]
Goodnight. but let me remind you that that you wrote that you've personally felt God... now what do you think people are going to think about that?

the bible says that it is not our job to convice people that jesus died for their sins. that is the responsibility of the holy ghost.
#565 to #564 - nobleknight (03/06/2012) [-]
If that's what you believe then you have a ways to go my friend, as do I.

Expert in religion at the age of 15?No you arent.
And there is not loads of evidence for Jesus was born, Nazreth is a bit over 1200 years old, it was made up in the new testament.
There was no law in the roman empire for people to get listed in their birth town, but the bible claims there were such a law.
In the new testament the leader of syria was not the real leader of syria.
Your book is flawed, it is stupid to claim to know if there is a god yet.
#549 to #533 - renecyril (03/06/2012) [-]
where did you get this information? there is buttloads of evidence that Jesus excisted. But as a christian i have to admit, that the excistence of Jesus, can not be used to argument that he was the son of God. Jesus is a historical fact, ask any historian. But historically speaking, he might as well have been a mad man, claiming to be the son of God, as the actual son of God. But the actions that these pieces of evidence describes, may be used as an argument... not that any atheist is ever going to recognise that... which i understand...

cause honestly, the whole thing seen from an objective point of view seems quite far fetched.

#550 to #549 - renecyril (03/06/2012) [-]
and that is why these religious debates are pointless!
