We've managed to keep this going longer than I thought we would lol

Yeah, I was brought up in a family of animal lovers. My uncle once accidentally stood on a chick that was hiding in the grass and he got all upset because he knew it wouldn't live and it was just in pain, so he had to kill it and he wouldn't talk to us for the rest of the day.

Yeah we have... A lot longer than I thought...

But to be honest I do love animals, my family takes in injured or unwanted cats, heal them, and then we give them to good homes. We have had one that was too far gone and my neighbor had to put it out of its misery, my parents couldn't do it. We did keep one though, had it for 12 years, we had to put her to sleep last year along with our dog of 13 years... That was hard for me. Also when I was mowing my lawn one day I was mowing around an evergreen and I heard a thunk and something being chopped up, when I looked it was a baby rabbit... it was so small and cute but it had big slashes in it, I could still see its heart beating and it was breathing... I was so heartbroken, but I just kept on mowing... I cried on the inside.

Unfortunately though, I'm gonna have to leave soon. My computer's making weird noises so I should probably turn it off before it over heats.

I looked after a hedgehog once that had been chewed by a fox. It survived pretty well and we let it out into our garden once it was better, felt pretty good. My uncle always brings cocoons for us in the Spring to look after, which is quite nice when we come downstairs and find ones hatched and there's a butterfly on the curtain. That's so sad about the rabbit... Gosh, I'd have cried on the outside, I can't stand to see little animals hurt. I even got upset when my dog (Yorkshire Terrier) fell off the garden step and yelped even though he was fine.
#111 to #110 - shadowfox (03/03/2012) [-]
I understand, we are friends and can always instant message, lol

Yes I hate seeing animals suffer too, yelps are the worst even though most dogs will yelp when nothing is wrong. lol
#113 to #111 - beffen (03/03/2012) [-]
That's true

Yeah my dog does it quite a lot as he's gotten older. He's just had an operation on his leg so he keeps licking the scar which has just healed over but when he licks it too much, it hurts him so he yelps, then like an average idiot, continues licking xD

I'd say I miss my dog, but he won't leave me alone. My parents went away for the weekend and now he's attached himself to me as his only source of company. And chances are, he'll steal my bed. Like every other weekend. xD

Yeah, this kind of thing rarely happens. Usually when I correct someone's grammar, they either say thanks and we part ways, or they complain about how they hate people correcting them... This has been quite an interesting conversation.
#120 to #119 - shadowfox (03/03/2012) [-]

Yeah, I complain about my dog a lot, but I know that I'll miss him. I'm hoping to move out before he dies, so I don't have to be there when they find him 'gone'. My mum's boyfriend jokes about how he's going to have him stuffed and shaped to be curled up so they can put him in front of the fire so it looks like he's sleeping, but I know he'll miss him the most. He's only lived with us for 2 years and we've had Taffy for 9, but they definitely have a Man's Best Friend bond going on between them.

Well, you've certainly befriended me, good sir.

It's a fairly decent place if you've lived there for years, but visiting probably isn't very good. It's one of those places where you get mugged, then someone tries to help you and ends up mugging you as well... It's also the home of The Beatles.

I looked up Liverpool and Council Bluffs, IA and Omaha, NE. Let me explain, Council Bluffs, IA is where I go to school and Omaha is right across the Missouri river which seperates Iowa from Nebraska and well its basically considered one place. Together the populations (Council Bluffs and Omaha compared to Liverpool) are pretty much the same.

Damn that's creepy. Sure wish I wasn't alone in the dark in my house right now... **** . lol

New York seems pretty awesome from what I've seen in films and programmes. I want to see Central Park, apparently it's an almost-exact copy of a park that we have here in Birkenhead. The guy who designed ours, then went on to design Central Park. Something like that anyway.

Just don't go alone and research parts of New York, don't go to some of the places, especially Central Park at night... from what I hear there are a lot of rapes/murders there. Plus I don't know if they cleaned it up but I am pretty sure they have a big homeless/drug addicts problem.

Yeah, I definitely won't be going alone, I'll probably drag a few friends with me. Plus I'd probably have to wait until I'm a little bit older since I doubt it would be smart to go somewhere far away like that when I'm only 18. But hopefully by the time I go, they will have cleaned up.
That's alright, I wasn't planning on sleeping anyway tonight lol. I think I've heard of that, but I don't think I'll ever be watching it... xD

I am 18 also and my friends wanted to take a trip to Europe and backpack around for the summer. We watched hostel, hostel II, and the human centipede... lol

Who needs sleep? In the past 72 hours I have only slept like 8-12 hours... Probably why I made that stupid grammatical error.

Oh God, Hostel... I love that film and yet I hate it. It's such a bad movie, but it's hilarious, like when the guy trips on the fingers and cuts off his own leg... God I laughed so hard xD Human Centipede is horrible, but it's not as gory as I thought it would be. There's a second one out now, isn't there? Or if not, it's out soon.

Sleep is for sleepy people! I got sugary snacks and Fanta to keep me awake all night, I'm not sleeping until I see sunlight through my window.

I will admit I liked all of those movies, funny in a sick way. I laughed my way through the Human Centipede, but I cringe and the thought of it happening to me. I am pretty sure The Human Centipede 2 is out.

That would be tramatizing, I watched "The House on the Haunted Hill" when I was 10... same thing... little sleep and what sleep I did get was filled with nightmares. I had to sleep with lights on until I was 13. It ****** me up. lol
#81 to #80 - beffen (03/03/2012) [-]
I've not heard of that, if it hadn't traumatised you, would it have been a good film? lol. I had to rearrange my room completely before I could get back to sleep when I was a kid, I ended up with my bed right next to the door. My logic was that if anything tried to kill me, I could just roll out of bed and out the door, like that was going to save me from a demon xD

I watched it again a year ago, I understand why it freaked me out so much, but yeah it's a good scary movie. There are 2 versions and I watched the re-make. I mean I could laugh through a few parts but because I watched it so young it still gets to me... lol. I had a knife in between my bed and its base, just so if something comes for me I can just grab it out and try to defend myself. I never even really thought about what would happen if it were a demon... LOL. Probably just piss it off.

Pretty much exactly what my knife looks like.

I've never really thought about having a weapon, they're not used as much over here. My mum's boyfriend has a penknife but that's about it. A few years ago before he moved in, my mum used to stay at his over the weekend and leave me in the house on my own and I used to keep my skateboard by my bed and carry it with me if I went anywhere else in the house in case of intruders, I could just attempt to beat them with it xD

That is really smart, at least you had something to defend yourself. In Iowa we have a few gun laws, but I come from a hunting family and we have a few guns int he house. I would always go through scenarios where I would have to rush to the gun cabinet, get one out, load it, and shoot intruders. I even practiced it, minus the loading and shooting. Lol

I live in a rough area, I'd probably use a gun quite a lot xD I wouldn't shoot it, but it would at least help me avoid being mugged by a twat with a baseball bat or something. I dunno if I could bring myself to shoot a deer, I'd probably feel sorry for it and purposefully miss and say it was an accident lol.

Well I was raised to be a hunter and a prolific killer, there is only one thing I can't bring myself to doing, the most important thing to do... Gutting the deer is horrible. You have to do it too, so it doesn't spoil the meat and so that we can move it without all the extra weight. Shooting it though... It made me a man, taking the life of another animal makes you appreciate life and how important it is to be at the top of the food chain. Killing smaller animals isn't as philosophical.

He takes 2 pictures.
1st Picture is him when he stands on ice.
2nd Picture is him not standing on ice.
then he takes the reflection from the first pic, and just the shoes from the 2nd picture.
He puts 2 pictures together basically.
