Left to right: Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Ocarina of Time, and Skyward Sword.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
User avatar #48 to #4 - remsaman (02/21/2012) [-]
not to my knowledge.
But i like difficulty in zelda games. its awesome.
User avatar #49 to #48 - Aro (02/21/2012) [-]
Yeah, hence why I took the shield out. Plus, Link looks like a badass without it.
User avatar #50 to #49 - remsaman (02/21/2012) [-]
The damn master swords sheath looks badass as well.
User avatar #51 to #50 - Aro (02/21/2012) [-]
Exactly. Link just looks so much better without a shield in every Zelda game.
User avatar #52 to #51 - remsaman (02/21/2012) [-]
i think he looks more classical with a shield though.
User avatar #53 to #52 - Aro (02/21/2012) [-]
Well yeah, but he don't even use it when he has the Biggoron sword.
User avatar #54 to #53 - remsaman (02/21/2012) [-]
thats because the biggorons sword is so badass it is its own shield.
User avatar #55 to #54 - Aro (02/21/2012) [-]
Biggoron Sword don't give a **** .
User avatar #56 to #55 - remsaman (02/21/2012) [-]
**** that medigorons knife.
**** that guy.
biggorons sword will **** everything.
User avatar #57 to #56 - Aro (02/21/2012) [-]
Biggoron Sword is indifferent to your problems.
User avatar #58 to #57 - remsaman (02/21/2012) [-]
haha... yeah...

getting it was a bitch though, but still kind of fun.
User avatar #28 to #4 - remsaman (02/21/2012) [-]
I mean... its a console game...
where did the grittyness of the series go?
User avatar #29 to #28 - Aro (02/21/2012) [-]
It had to appeal to the kids. Nintendo needed a "reboot" so to speak, since a lot of the original fans had left games altogether.
User avatar #30 to #29 - remsaman (02/21/2012) [-]
toon link killed it for me in my opinion.
User avatar #31 to #30 - Aro (02/21/2012) [-]
Well, Wind Waker still had it's charm. What it lost in grittyness it made up for just by being cute and silly. Skyward was serious all the time, save for moments when you were in Skyloft.
User avatar #32 to #31 - remsaman (02/21/2012) [-]
I liked skyward swords combat, and sprinting was a good make up for the lack of epona.
But i would have been more impressed if they kept Twilight Princess' graphics.
User avatar #33 to #32 - Aro (02/21/2012) [-]
The combat was refreshing, but buggering every time he swung in the opposite direction I did. And then I would get shocked.

Sprinting was nice. Maybe some stamina upgrades, but a good road to start nonetheless.
User avatar #34 to #33 - remsaman (02/21/2012) [-]
They could have done more to make potions more worth the money.
Id rather carry 3 health potions then 2 health potions and a stamina potion.
User avatar #35 to #34 - Aro (02/21/2012) [-]
Oh don't even get me started on the inventory system. Since when has a Zelda EVER limited the numbers items you could get? (Excluding, of course, the games where you could only carry one item at a time. I.E. Four Swords) I wanted all the bottles, not just two so I could fit the heart medallions.

I did enjoy the upgrade system though, despite getting some of the ingredients to be a chore.
User avatar #36 to #35 - remsaman (02/21/2012) [-]
The inventory system was ******** .
the only gripe i had about the upgrading system, was that it was pretty much useless to upgrade some items, and i would have liked to upgrade my slingshot to actually do damage. what use is a shotgun slingshot that only stuns?
User avatar #37 to #36 - Aro (02/21/2012) [-]
WE'RE ****** GUISE

User avatar #38 to #37 - remsaman (02/21/2012) [-]
actually, upgrading the butterfly net was nice. it let me catch birds, bugs, and tumbleweeds easier.
User avatar #39 to #38 - Aro (02/21/2012) [-]
Wait, you could catch birds? How awful.

But really, all I ever upgraded were the Beetle, Bow, Two Quivers, and a bomb bag. Everything else felt a little useless.
User avatar #40 to #39 - remsaman (02/21/2012) [-]
Not even the sacred shield?(even though it was virtually useless after you got the hylian..)
upgrading your shield is pretty much essential if you want to beat hero mode.
User avatar #41 to #40 - Aro (02/21/2012) [-]
Never got a shield hahaha. I do that with every Zelda game, if possible.

My brother, 29 and a huge Zelda fan (and a little herderp), was watching me play. He had already beaten it with the help of a Strategy guide, and told me to get a shield. I said no, and he started flipping **** and yelled at me to get it because "it's impossible to beat the game without it". Ever since then I was like "Challenge accepted" and vowed to finish it without ever buying a shield. You should have seen his face when I told him I did it. He just said I was lying, hahaha.
User avatar #42 to #41 - remsaman (02/21/2012) [-]
Did you beat hero mode as well?
getting past the horde is hard....
User avatar #43 to #42 - Aro (02/21/2012) [-]
Oh I was pretty upset after I beat it. So I didn't bother.

I don't own it, I was using his. So I might do it if he lets me.
User avatar #44 to #43 - remsaman (02/21/2012) [-]
Haha, alright.
Its hard as **** .
Lose double health... heart flowers dont appear, and hearts dont drop from grass or enemies(until you get the heart medal.)
The upside is that you get full powered skyward strike at the start of the game, and once you get the true master sword, it charges instantly.
User avatar #45 to #44 - Aro (02/21/2012) [-]
**** , how are you supposed to get hearts then? Sitting and sleeping?
User avatar #46 to #45 - remsaman (02/21/2012) [-]
and potions.
But once you get the heart medal, hearts do appear from grass, and half the heart flowers appear.
you wouldnt believe how hard it was getting the hylian shield(you have to fight 8 bosses in a row without using the item pouch. meaning no potions, fairies, medals or anything.)
User avatar #47 to #46 - Aro (02/21/2012) [-]
Which, Hero Mode was an alright idea, but did it add anything other than difficulty? Wind Waker, for instance, made you wear a blue shirt instead of the green tunic the second time through.
User avatar #7 to #4 - remsaman (02/21/2012) [-]
Skyward sword and twilight princess are switched i think.
skyward sword needs to have link as a right handed, which is why his sheath's belt is inverted.
User avatar #8 to #7 - Aro (02/21/2012) [-]
The far right Link's sheath is right handed.

Also, the far right just has armbands instead of full gauntlets. The Inner left link has Leather arm armor, with the exact same design.
User avatar #9 to #8 - remsaman (02/21/2012) [-]
thats what i meant. his sheath is right handed for gameplay sake.

And i see what you mean. But i wasnt sure wether skyward sword link had earrings or not.
User avatar #10 to #9 - Aro (02/21/2012) [-]
Not the most flattering shot, but here
User avatar #11 to #10 - remsaman (02/21/2012) [-]
thanks for clearing that up.

fun fact: ocarina of time link is the toughest of all his incarnations. he takes the least damage and doesnt wear chainmail.
User avatar #12 to #11 - Aro (02/21/2012) [-]
Not a problem.

What about Link from Wind Waker? He got flung against a building.
User avatar #13 to #12 - remsaman (02/21/2012) [-]
Ocarina of time got blasted with magic, can walk on lava, fallen down numerous heights...

User avatar #14 to #13 - Aro (02/21/2012) [-]
Hm, good point. Mainly the lava part. He flinches, but keeps on trucking. Admirable.
User avatar #15 to #14 - remsaman (02/21/2012) [-]
not to mention got hugged by gorons.

and tortured by navi.
User avatar #17 to #15 - Aro (02/21/2012) [-]
Well, to be fair about the Navi part, the assistant from Skyward Sword (Blue chick sword floaty thing) was several times more annoying.
User avatar #18 to #17 - remsaman (02/21/2012) [-]
But at least Fi actually helped. navi just gave you a vague clue about what you were supposed to do next.

User avatar #19 to #18 - Aro (02/21/2012) [-]
Fi, thank you. And she would only occasionally "help" you.

To see my points, watch this.
User avatar #20 to #19 - remsaman (02/21/2012) [-]
Technically dowsing was still her.
and you could also check your playtime and other things, like the bosses weakness. granted, navi could do that to, but fi's is more to the point.
User avatar #21 to #20 - Aro (02/21/2012) [-]
Well the whole fact she would tell me things literally right after someone had told me just down right irritates me. That and her "singing" was horrific.
User avatar #22 to #21 - remsaman (02/21/2012) [-]
Oh god her singing.... *shudder*
i mean... she didnt even move her mouth... she just... screamed...
like some form of metallic banshee
User avatar #23 to #22 - Aro (02/21/2012) [-]
In was hardly even in rhythm either. Oh Lordy it was just awful, and the volume seemed to turn itself up whenever I played, so my parents kept thinking that I like that music or something.
User avatar #24 to #23 - remsaman (02/21/2012) [-]
i just.... muted it....
i couldnt stand it.

oh my god and doing the lumpy pumpkin sidequest.... that was annoying.
damnit link, Y U NO HAVE OCARINA?
User avatar #25 to #24 - Aro (02/21/2012) [-]
I did like, one mission for him. After that I never went near the place again, other than for the soup cauldron for the God.

And you know what made me really hate that game? The goddamn water part where you have to get the music note tadpoles. I. HATE. Swimming controls.
User avatar #26 to #25 - remsaman (02/21/2012) [-]
why is there ALWAYS an underwater level?
at least we could swim slightly faster, even if it was at the cost of oxygen.
User avatar #27 to #26 - Aro (02/21/2012) [-]
>Trying to get the last Notepole in a long string
>Dash to get it
>Motions controls come in and say no
>Lose the whole string
> **** it, I'm out

Seriously Nintendo, this was not a good idea.
