Correct me if Im wrong, but I thought only moths had cocoons. Other species that undergo metamorphosis have either chrysalises or pupae.

Ohh, no its not cocoons, it's juice from the female lac bug. The juice is called "shellac" (prononced "shellak".) Haha, I thought your question had something to do with your biology homework.
