Well of course shooters have ****** DLC. RPG's not made by EA is where the real goldmine of DLC is. Though TF2 has pretty much mastered the formula by only charging for hats, therefore having enough profit to continuously improve the game with free stuff.

I thin DLC should; be free, incentive to buy games. So until it is I am boycotting all DLC. There aren't really any cool ones I really want on any games I have right now anyway.

I guess you don't have Fallout 3.

I couldn't agree more.

Halo reach was no different to halo 3 apart from armour, a few guns and vehicles but it all could have been done in an update.

I like how in L4D2 (PC) Steam gives you all DLC free, plus the community provides a virtually unlimited amount of extra content. Oh and with all the ports Valve has been doing, if you get L4D2 you're getting most (if not all, I can't remember) of L4D1

I hate when a game releases and there is already DLC for it

Not entirely true.
Dice gives out free DLC for those that buy the game new.
Bad Company 2 got new map variants every month and a huge title update with 4 free new maps.
BF3 just released 4 new maps in B2K.

Cod milks their fans with a $15 DLC every 3 months instead of the $5 a month pay-to-play model they wanted.

i wish games like call of duty and battlefield would bring out proper expansions,
you're part of a military squad on like a single mission, they should bring out expansions
that add to the campaign for 800 points/whatever, that have extra map packs/updates
in the same pack, too much online focus these days

Don't forget the fact that everyone who plays sports games pays 60 dollars, EVERY YEAR for a ******* roster update. THATS IT, no real change in graphics, very little difference in gameplay, just an update on stats.
