At the current rate of change to electrical devices, Its more likely that nuclear power stations will be replaced with Green Energy in 20 years time.

The only thing thats keeping the oil rigs in business is that most cars and planes are fuel powered. Now that electric cars are being made, and people would be able to travel about 150 miles for $2 most people will be considering the change, the only downfall is there are very little Charging docks.
User avatar #62 to #52 - failtolawl (02/04/2012) [-]
nuclear power stations produce little to zero air and water pollution if the nuclear waste is disposed correctly, the smoke coming out of the towers is merely evaporated water, the only pollution you can say they make are from the vehicles that transport the material or workers.. which as you said can be replaced.
User avatar #103 to #62 - odonnell (02/04/2012) [-]
I remembered that as soon as i had posted the comment xD When i seen the smoke in the picture i was trying to think what. I thought coal powered, then i remembered, this isnt the 19th century. Then nuclear stations were the first thing to come to mind xD.

That whole sexual world. God, when you think of it it's a dirty, filthy thing, isn't it ? Can you imagine? Can you imagine, looking up at this woman, and her standing over you with her lass in her hand, wanting you to degrade yourself? God almighty can you imagine that? Can you picture it there? Oh get a good mental picture of it. Can you see it there? Ready to do the business?

that's some clean ass water!
User avatar #109 to #67 - porkknight (02/04/2012) [-]
its probably an acid lake, the acidity of the water means no plants or fish to **** it up.

There is a person swimming in it you ******** ; also, note the reflection of plant life around the lake, and the dead plant matter in the lake. There is no way that would happen at an acid lake. Stfu and stop trying to be smart.

personally, that looks like rock plates and ******* dirt at the bottom, plant life can grow around the god damn lake pine trees especially can grow in acidic soils. acid lakes are only acidic enough to prevent plant life from growing.
#355 to #289 - dinofly (02/05/2012) [-]
Oh my gawd, look what I found on the wiki page for acid rain (assuming this is where you learned all about this **** ) It's a pine forest destroyed by acidic rain!

Look at the picture again, there are clearly tree trunks in the water...

I understand where you are coming from with this " it's clear because it's acidic " but just let it go man, it's not an acid lake.

User avatar #358 to #355 - porkknight (02/05/2012) [-]
i concede defeat. i was working off what i had been told. while camping we found a lake that looked similar to the one in the picture. at the time i was told it was an acid lake, i trusted the source and now im wrong.

Hey man, it's cool, it's just a silly internet argument. You just tried to help explain something and educate others, better luck next time.
