kinsanity (01/30/2012) [-] I just started taking Chemistry at school and as I was reading this I was thinking "Wow, this would be a cool experiment for class." Then I remembered learning about that exact combination and how it creates a deadly gas.

It's not mustard gas, it's chlorine gas. mustard gas is much much harder to make and it's not really a gas, it's a syrup like substance that dissolves flesh on contact, but they put it in bombs so that it gets vaporized into the air.
if you really want to make chlorine gas then you should get some hydrochloric acid (they sell it in paint stores as "Muriatic Acid") and some solid chlorine tablets, they are chunks of chlorine used for pools. pour the acid in a container, dump in the chlorine and get the fuck away from there. you'll see a thick cloud of smoke form above the container, that is chlorine gas, it's dangerous as fuck and it was used to kill thousands of people in WWI. it burns any part of your body it touches and kills you if you inhale it.
