No you are wrong, you can't get in trouble for doing something before a law was passed about it. I believe it is called ex post facto.

The Grandfather Clause is when a law is passed but since you were doing it before the law you can legally continue doing it. Ex post facto you still have to stop doing it but you can't get in trouble for what you have already done. Slight difference but still the same result, no Justin Bieber in prison.

If that's true doesn't that mean that any pre-existing sites to SOPA would avoid it's rules? IF no more copyright was put up?

Well there was already a law about pirating songs. There wasn't one about covering songs, I don't think.

Nope. If they shut down now they can't be persecuted when the law passes. But if they keep on activity they will be breaking the law.

this is ******** because a bunch of people from megaupload already got jail time. Sopa spends so much time trying to make a reputation for itself without ever appealing to reason, they say hey guys, lets throw someone in jail for breaking a law that hasnt been passed yet.

They were thrown in jail for copyright infringement, not sopa if you download a movie or a game illegally and they find it on your computer you can be arrested and sent to jail too dumbass

infinity+infinity=infinity.
infinityxinfinity=infinity
infinity^infinity=infinity
infinity/infinity=undefined
infinity-infinity=undefined
I don't know how to make the root symbol but that's undefined too.

Nope. Would you like to know the reasoning?

What's infinity+5? infinity. What's infinity minus infinity? 5? We just added 5 to infinity and got infinity again.

It works with the division, just replace plus with times and minus with divided by.

You see, there are an infinite amount of infinities, all of varying magnitudes. It's all calculus theory. Here is a website explaining it: (take away the spaces)

Replace Infinity with Variable x.

x-0=x.

Problem solved.

x would have to work for both infinities (infinity is assumed to be equal unless stated otherwise)

(01/22/2012) [-]
what do you mean both? There's only 1. X. You said whats infinity plus 5? Well the only way to actually write that mathematically would be with a variable (which i chose x). Infinity + 5=Infinity +5, because infinity is undefined. X+5=X+5. X*5=5X. So on, and so fourth...this isn't even negotiable nor arguable.

Infinity is an ever increasing number thus they would be the same if counting both. (they would both be represented by X not just one of them)

I love you. He hasn't done anything wrong or bad towards you guys, so what if he used to have a high voice? Is that really a reason to wish death or prison time on him. The other reason you probably hate him is because lots of women think he is really attractive and you guys are jealous. Ready for the red pinkie raid but whatever, d/c.

3. but you can if you stream it after the law is passed

Still wrong.
Current American citizenship aside, those videos were posted during his Canadian residency, and before SOPA was even an idea in Lamar Smith's head.

If SOPA gets passed, all of his 'early' videos (and similar copyrighted works by others) will be taken down. That's it.

This post it stupid.

Rich white people will just pay lawyers to get them out of trouble. It happens every single day. And yes, I realize that he lives America, but, since he has all the money in the world, he can still just leave the country and pay off lawyers to do his work.
