actually.....what you do is take a big jar like that poor a bit of gas into it....rotate it to cover the area of the jar....poor out the access gas.....and light the fumes on fire.....

i have done photos like this and the hardest part is setting up the sensor to engage the flash because it has to be done in a pitch black room with the shutter open so when the water passes though the sensor there is a small delay to the flash so you get the slash not just the drop falling the hardest part is getting the delay time right because to do that you have to change the sensor height. but once you get the sensor right you can take as many photos as you like and they will all be the same.

actually they usually have a camera that can take dozens of pictures over a set time span to always get the pic on the first try my friend has a camera with this feature
