what's there to notice,german and english originate from latin hence some of the words are similar,Volkswagen means the Nation's car anyways or as OP's pic says 'people's car'

LOL except that's wrong. The two main groups of languages in Europe are the romance and Germanic ones. Examples of romance languages, which are based on Latin, are French, Spanish and Italian. Examples of Germanic languages are English, German and Swedish. French started out as a Germanic language, but changed due to the influence of the Romans who occupied Normandy. English was able to escape the heavy Latin influence, slightly, and maintained it's Germanic origin. Today, English is 40% Germanic.
