in my opinion, religion can't prove there is a god, science can't prove there isn't. once we have solid evidence of something is when i'll believe something.

Like if a god came down for everyone to see, everyone would believe because now it was proven.

However, this won't happen because their is no god. Can't wait for the day science will prove how our universe started.

I don't think we can ever prove the existence of a God, because it doesn't have to be some old man with a beard. If it created everything, we couldn't use the science of our own universe to detect it.

i don't think that's the way to prove there is no god. i don't know what it will be, but if we do find out how the universe was made, religion could come back with "god made that happen" or something along those lines. finding out how the universe was created alone won't be enough.

That's why I hate religion so much, they can never be disproved, they always have the believe that there is a being controlling us. They are just mad that they have finally been defeated. Their logic is false.

Lol, a friend of mine said "religion was just created so that people would think they would be eternally punished if they committed a crime, and order could be kept"

the only proofs are philosophical truths

that and the chances of evolution are mathematically impossible (somewhat beyond twice what is considered impossible which may be 10 to the power of 23, which evolution is 10 to the power of 40 something)
which is why the multiverse theory exists, there is no proof btw i have to go so i cant further reply)

in time science could disprove god.

in time science can do nearly everything, including prove that there is a God

it's totally possible, science could one day prove there is a god. but it could also prove there isn't one. we won't know until we have proof.

science can prove anything, also disprove everything, but there is a lot more evidence pointing twards religion being wrong.

Science & Religion will always prove each other wrong... Charles Darwin even said the anatomy of the human eye is beyond comprehensive. I believe in The Bible, and God. If you think about it though science almost backs up Reiligion, If a certain vain pops you could die, If an atom slipped the world would end. The world in itself is so intricately designed that there has to be a Creator.

#434 to #429 - fitzmanjt (12/24/2011) [-]
that is quite honestly a stupid point of view, because we dont yet understand it, we couldnt possible ever understand it. we have graphed the human eye, and all of its functions. we have graphed the atom to our available knowledge, and it would take a lot more then one slipped atom to end existence.

I'm not talking about how it works, I'm talking about how everything is specifically designed for us to live.. Lets put it this way you can become blind from a number of things, just by messing one thing up in your eye you could become blind. It's the fact once again how intricately designed we are that gets to me.
#450 to #445 - fitzmanjt (12/24/2011) [-]
then why do animals like the owl have eyes 3 times as complex as ours? we are only hear because of our ability to adapt to our surroundings. not everything is designed for us to live, look at Antarctica. how many people live there.

User avatar #456 to #450 - bivensc (12/24/2011) [-]
Obviously we're not the only beings... Not many people live there, but what does live there was made to live there.

what lives on the moon? since it was created for us.
User avatar #466 to #457 - bivensc (12/24/2011) [-]
Nothing does but it was created for us.. Without it, There would be very limited life here on Earth. If any.

you're still not getting, there are many planets like earth, there are millions of galaxy's and you belive that a god put life on 1 planet. thats an ignorant point of view
User avatar #471 to #468 - bivensc (12/24/2011) [-]
Scientists just discovered a planet with possible life. Never said God didn't.
#476 to #471 - fitzmanjt (12/24/2011) [-]
never said god didn't. you accidentally the sentence.

never said god didnt, doesn't make sense.
User avatar #492 to #484 - bivensc (12/24/2011) [-]
Nice job changing the subject.
#500 to #492 - fitzmanjt (12/24/2011) [-]
no, you broke the subject, you said that scientists found a plant that could hold life. never said god didnt. are you trying to say the scientists are god?
User avatar #776 to #500 - bivensc (12/24/2011) [-]
How did I even come close to saying scientists were God? God is God. Scientist discover what God put here on earth and put in the galaxy.
#778 to #776 - fitzmanjt (12/24/2011) [-]
the context of your sentance is confusing it could be read as scientists found a planet that could hold life, never said god didn't. like god found a planet with life on it already
