I always carry a calculator in my pocket for no reason whatsoever.
But whenever the bitches need some calculations done, I just pull my calculator out of my ******* pocket and then they want my dick.

eventually machines are going to let the human race devolve into complete herp-derped retards that can't do anything without machines.

Sure Wall-e was fun, seems possible, but it's not.

A good education goes a long way and we're not complete idiots. Yet.
User avatar #10 to #3 - thedasher (12/18/2011) [-]
There is actually a film about this, the human race going all retarded after advancement in technology, then the technology went to ***** too.

Damnit, Now I need to remember the name.
#4 to #3 - dythanor (12/18/2011) [-]
actually, my guess is that we will become more interested in the arts and sciences, and less interested in manually doing calculations. There will always be herp-derped retards, but I have a feeling most people will just not have to take basic math anymore.
If you can get an implant that will do basic math faster than you can, I don't see a reason to worry about it anymore.
#5 to #4 - anon (12/18/2011) [-]
Then 10 years from now you wait in a long line of pissed off people waiting for a black woman at a cash register trying to add change to a dollar not knowing the basics of math!!! ******** .jpg
User avatar #258 to #4 - wiredguy (12/18/2011) [-]
People are thinking about this too literally, you're the only person who's put it even close to how it will be, I think that even the people who don't want to always bother to learn the basics, if not, they're sub-human.
I'm talking about choice, not disability mind.

Not true, Japan is one of the most advanced (and weirdest) societies. However, they are still f*cking smart.
Ask a japanese "what's the derivative of ((3x+2π*4π^3x^6*x^3)/6πx^8)*sin(x*x)+log(x^1.5)/ln(x^7)", and it will solve it in seconds.

Meanwhile in Africa, they are not so smart, while they have probably never seen an iPhone, or even a Gameboy.
Ask an African "I have one apple in my left hand, and one apple in my right hand. How many apples do I have in total?", it will ask "what are apples?"

aCTUALLY if you wanted to take the time you only need grade 12 calc (i live in canada, so idk about american education system) to do that.. its just a bunch of the rules of derivation put together... more time consuming than difficult
#160 to #151 - mazyr (12/18/2011) [-]
I know it's doable, I can do it. But I also said "in SECONDS", can you do that??

Second of all, IT IS A JOKE
#261 to #151 - anon (12/18/2011) [-]
I'm in the US and in grade 12 taking AP Calc (and I could do the problem if I bothered to) but most Americans don't take Calc until college, if at all.
#93 to #14 - FatBenIsPedoBear (12/18/2011) [-]
Oh look, another ignorant asshole. I live in Africa (South Africa to be exact), and we are actually a highly developed country with just as good technology as America.

Pic related, its the town I live in.
#124 to #93 - anon (12/18/2011) [-]
#136 to #93 - mazyr (12/18/2011) [-]
First of all, I am from Europe.

Second of all, if a say Africa, I mean countries like Ethiopia and Congo. Just like you mean USA when you say America.

Third of all, IT IS A JOKE, you are NOT supposed to take it seriously.
#211 to #93 - inbeforeherpes (12/18/2011) [-]
Oh look, an asshole who thinks people from america are the only assholes in the net, cool story bro. I guess even Africans hate other denominations.
User avatar #213 to #211 - FatBenIsPedoBear (12/18/2011) [-]
To both of you that are saying things about how they aren't from America, etc, etc... I didn't say anybody here is from America or that Americans are assholes/stupid. So I have no idea where you are pulling that idea from, all I said is that our technology is just as developed as America.
User avatar #223 to #213 - inbeforeherpes (12/18/2011) [-]
I pulled it from the fact that mazyr was talking about Japan, and not from America. Second of all, you mentioned how he was an asshole, and then mentioned how South Africa is just as advance as America. Now, why would you even mention America when he was strictly speaking of Japan? Why didn't you mention Japan itself? or Europe for that matter? Australia? Hong Kong? Canada?

Yes, you are correct, you did not say americans are assholes, but you can't deny that it is easy to think that you were referring to America = Assholes. I apologize for insulting you and being a prick, but I still do think you meant what I thought.
User avatar #229 to #223 - FatBenIsPedoBear (12/18/2011) [-]
That is a fair arguement. I just mentioned America because I have noticed that the majority of users are from America. This may not be true, but it's just something that I have noticed. Also, I used America as my comparison because I know they have similar technology as South Africa, Japan and Hong Kong are a bit more advanced than us. America just seemed like a fair and suitable comparison.
User avatar #231 to #229 - inbeforeherpes (12/18/2011) [-]
Ahh, I see. Well, America is a bit more advance than where I live, but not by much. I'm not from America (US at least), but I'm tired of all these US bashing posts/OC, but I guess Africans have it even harder, since they are usually viewed as the Africans in those memes.

On a completely unrelated note: How much do video game consoles retail for in South Africa? If you know of course.
User avatar #240 to #231 - FatBenIsPedoBear (12/18/2011) [-]
Gaming consoles are quite a bit more expensive here than in Europe I think. For a PS3 it costs R3000 which is about $350. I don't know how that compares to other countries these days.

And in case you were wondering, he didn't have computers, calculators, or even TV growing up.

Gmod?
Wat
User avatar #74 to #73 - magusto (12/18/2011) [-]
Smod was well... like Gmod but not so well known, u just had new weapons and some sort of things, new moves like Gordon can kick the enemies or some sort of that, but it was not so confortable like Gmod, Gmod had his spawnmenu and the tools and at Smod u must work with the console the "S" stands for Super
User avatar #75 to #74 - wiredguy (12/18/2011) [-]
But it wasn't a shooter game, it was more of a sandbox, so taking away the spawn menu defeated the point of the whole thing, right?
User avatar #79 to #75 - magusto (12/18/2011) [-]
Smod was well... just for **** 'n giggles you know... you threw exploding bannanas at the cop who telled u to pick up the can... and gmod was a sandbox game yes.
and this psp u see launched umd discs at the enemies was very funny... to be honest if i remember right, Smod was some sort of...you know the game Postal where u do all this sort of **** ... in Smod u had all these weapons to, like the scissors etc.
