In Skyrim, not thumbing up good OC is punishable by death if you don’t pay the fine. But so is shouting at chickens, so its probably best if you just use your best thumbing judgment.

It’s a joke. But if you want to get technical, it says in the book of the dragonborn that “being the blessing of Akatosh Himself, it is beyond our understanding of how and why it is bestowed”. It also says that “ The line of septims have been Dragon born which has lead to the simplistic notion that of this being hereditary.”
Now, because the dragonborn you play in Skyrim incredibly brave, it might be safe to assume that his ancestors were brave. And also that one of them might have been brave enough to get it on with some 800 ton dragon booty, which is why you are dragonborn in the first place.

Technically not a dragon, but a wyvern. All dragons in skyrim, are wyvern, mind blown.
User avatar #30 to #3 - wiredguy (12/09/2011) [-]
Except that's not Elder Scrolls Lore, its Medival England... And in the game they're Dragons.
So if this was 16th century Britain, they'd be Wyverns, but it's 4E 3rd Century Skyrim, so they're dragons.
Its like saying that Just because an orange used to be a norringe "ALL ORANGES ARE ACTUALLY NORRINGES!" That's just ******* stupid, in Skyrim they're called dragons and on coats of arms they're called Wyverns, happy?
User avatar #13 to #3 - stargazerone (12/09/2011) [-]
Wyverns are a subset of dragon. Calm down man.
User avatar #15 to #13 - oldking (12/09/2011) [-]
in dark souls, the subset for dragon its called drake, but there are allso a drak that name is Wyvern. so there you have a mind blow alright
#25 to #15 - paulm (12/09/2011) [-]
Technically speaking a drake is a male dragon.
Only females grow to the massive winged beasts we see in games and movies but the males wings do not fully grow and instead form lange spikes the stick out of their elbows.

At least that's what the mythology says.
User avatar #16 to #15 - stargazerone (12/09/2011) [-]
There can be more than one subset of something also.
User avatar #17 to #16 - oldking (12/09/2011) [-]
well. if you say so, proffessor Dragonsnautsel
User avatar #4 to #3 - walcorn (12/09/2011) [-]
and Why is that?
User avatar #5 to #4 - BizzarreCoyote (12/09/2011) [-]
Dragons have 6 limbs: 4 legs, 2 wings

Wyverns only have 4 limbs: 2 legs, 2 wings.

User avatar #6 to #5 - walcorn (12/09/2011) [-]
Meh, I'll still look at them as dragons, because "Wyvernborn" just sound retarded
User avatar #7 to #6 - lemonlord ONLINE (12/09/2011) [-]
dont listen to them
they are dragons Wyverns cant breath fire and the dragons in skyrim have 2 legs and 2 hands the claw like things on the wings much like bats are in fact hands so 4 limbs
#9 to #7 - melink (12/09/2011) [-]
In the game they call them DRAGONS.

So they are MOTHER ******* DRAGONS.
#10 to #9 - lemonlord ONLINE (12/09/2011) [-]
wasn't saying they weren't

User avatar #31 to #7 - wiredguy (12/09/2011) [-]
Actually no they only have 4 limbs, 2 wings+2 legs, they're still dragons though, read my other post as to why.
User avatar #32 to #31 - lemonlord ONLINE (12/09/2011) [-]
that's what I said 4 limbs... i was just pointing out that they use the claws on the wings to walk like bats do
User avatar #33 to #32 - wiredguy (12/09/2011) [-]
Oh sorry, yeah I knew that.
Your grammar was too incomprehensible to my tired mind O_O

you don't have to be dragonborn to learn to use The Voice.
you don't have to be dragonborn to learn to use The Voice.
#22 to #14 - Rascal (12/09/2011) [-]
He didn’t say you had to be dragon born, he just made the insinuation that everyone who can use the power of Thu'ums has had an ancestor who has ****** a dragon. That’s a relatively legitimate assertion.

Perhaps what people call dragon born is just a person who has the most dragon DNA in them. Of course you’d think Akatosh would want to punish people who screw dragons instead of reward them..............
User avatar #23 to #22 - alleksi (12/09/2011) [-]
I'm pretty sure that any one can learn the way of The Voice if they dedicate their life to it

User avatar #34 - noblexfenrir (12/09/2011) [-]
This really isn't funny...but ofcourse it's about skyrim so everyone thumbs it anyway, doesn't matter if it sucks or if the joke is poorly executed.

I agree with you.
User avatar #56 to #55 - noblexfenrir (07/15/2014) [-]

User avatar #57 to #56 - lorkhan (07/15/2014) [-]
Well you got to plan out you're words in the right way.
#38 to #34 - Rascal (12/09/2011) [-]
Well it is not the best OC ever nor the most funny one, but at least it is a little (very little) bit funny.
User avatar #39 to #38 - noblexfenrir (12/09/2011) [-]
It's hard to even call it OC, I mean it's just as basic as how technically all those arrow to the knee jokes were OC.

I actually found the other version (poster below but can't remember the name) where it just says "sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me" and just has the "O really?" picture. Atleast that lets your mind make the joke so its funny. This one just explained the whole damn thing out and it more annoyed me than anything.
User avatar #43 to #39 - thehint (12/09/2011) [-]
It is OC but I doubt that pessimist like yourself would care for the truth one way or another. May a pack of wild meandering dildos find their way to your ass by the end of the day.
User avatar #45 to #43 - noblexfenrir (12/09/2011) [-]
Like I said its 'barely' OC, it's just like me going and posting "The rat is fleeing the bordello, hide your flamingos" with a technicolor background. Is it OC? Technically yes but at that point it really doesn't ******* matter....ok that didn't make sense. But it's like those arrow to the knee jokes, their taking an overused idea and changing one thing. While you just used the skyrim idea, it still goes with this because everyones ******* posting about skyrim. Not to help that you explained your entire joke thoroughly eliminating the funny.
User avatar #48 to #45 - thehint (12/10/2011) [-]
Look, it’s topical humor Skyrim is popular right now and it’s what I’ve been thinking about. You wouldn’t get mad at John Stewart for making fun of the latest news.

I made jokes in the explanation, but nobody really reads the comments anyway, so I’m not really fused.

Plus, Skyrim is awesome. ******* delicious. If I could I would inject that video game straight into my veins.
User avatar #41 to #34 - thehint (12/09/2011) [-]
Sir, just because I ****** your mom in the ass is no reason to get irrational.
User avatar #42 to #41 - noblexfenrir (12/09/2011) [-]
That is quite illogical due to me being Batman, thus my mother is deceased.
