Skyrim, Oblivion reference

Yes, that' s right. That annoying little **** who
followed you everywhere turned out to be part of
the Dark Brotherhood and slit your Oblivion
character' s throat. How does that make you feel?

i was like a god in oblivion.. and this little **** managed to kill me?

Except that Oblivion takes place 200 years before this occured, the end of the 3rd era. The date on the journal entry is 4E (Fourth Era) 187, or 187 years after the events of the Oblivion Crisis took place.

Nice try though.

but don't elves have longer life spans?

Didn't see this, I posted the same thing. It's obviously not true since Oblivion is in the 3rd era and the diary is in the 4th era then it won't be the same person.

Yes but you are forgetting none of us know how long a being can be alive in this game.. It's set in a different planet so everyones' life span could be hundreds of years. Of course we will never know because everyone in TES is either murdered or killed in battle before they reach like 20.. Q_Q

Except that this is just a reference. 4E 187 is 187 years after oblivion

Elves does live long.
... Except I was an Argonian.

You wanna know who I hated in the shivering isles? That little annoying ****** that always asked for sweet rolls. I wanted to rip his nuts off.

I killed that little **** for the dark brother hood quest!
User avatar #28 - finnini (11/19/2011) [-]
This is not true, because in Oblivion you play in the Third Era, that diary entry says 4E so it is in fact a different grand champion that he kills, and not your character from Oblivion.
User avatar #30 to #28 - finnini (11/19/2011) [-]
Also it also means that the character became Grand Champion 187 years after stopping the Oblivion Crisis. With no waiting or sleeping that would be around 3 years of gametime.

Too bad I killed him first

Wrong. Oblivion was 200 years before Skyrim. Cicero wouldn't be alive.

That, and my character killed him and went on to become Sheogorath, and appeared in Skyrim.
#23 - coolalliki (11/16/2011) [-]
MFW when I started realizing Cicero was going to be the one who was gonna bring the Night Mother to the Sanctuary.
#8 - anon (11/16/2011) [-]
The other anon is right on the money, 4E 187 is 187 years after the events in Oblivion. Although the adoring fan is referenced, it is not the same adoring fan and it is not you who is killed. Deal with it.

Feels Bad Man.
#33 - anon (08/11/2014) [-]
Only... the adoring fan was a Bosmer.. and Cicero is actually an Imperial. It'd be an excellent end for the Oblivion character, if it wasn't for the gaping plot hole. Surely with all the trickery and smite of fighting Daedric overlords, the saviour of Cyrodill would notice a pair of fake ears and rad hair wig. I mean I know the face sculptor of the ragged flagon is a woman of many talents, but racial morphing just wasn't something she ever tapped into!
#31 - anon (03/17/2012) [-]
Its Funny. But like ol dude said. U dont kno what kind of lifespan we talkin here. People could live for centuries for all we kno. But thats not tru. Because your hero in oblivion becomes the daedric god sheogorath
User avatar #24 - TheFirstTemplar (11/16/2011) [-]
he died when i took him and a darkbrother hood follower into the great gate they both died but when it was colapsing it spit his dead body out . not even the deadra will take him.
User avatar #25 to #24 - TheFirstTemplar (11/16/2011) [-]
spat* my bad
User avatar #14 - jukkari (11/16/2011) [-]
Cicero could not be the adoring fan because the adoring fan was an elf Cicero is an imperial.
