Except that Oblivion takes place 200 years before this occured, the end of the 3rd era. The date on the journal entry is 4E (Fourth Era) 187, or 187 years after the events of the Oblivion Crisis took place.

Nice try though.

Didn't see this, I posted the same thing. It's obviously not true since Oblivion is in the 3rd era and the diary is in the 4th era then it won't be the same person.

Yes but you are forgetting none of us know how long a being can be alive in this game.. It's set in a different planet so everyones' life span could be hundreds of years. Of course we will never know because everyone in TES is either murdered or killed in battle before they reach like 20.. Q_Q

You wanna know who I hated in the shivering isles? That little annoying ****** that always asked for sweet rolls. I wanted to rip his nuts off.

This is not true, because in Oblivion you play in the Third Era, that diary entry says 4E so it is in fact a different grand champion that he kills, and not your character from Oblivion.

Also it also means that the character became Grand Champion 187 years after stopping the Oblivion Crisis. With no waiting or sleeping that would be around 3 years of gametime.

MFW when I started realizing Cicero was going to be the one who was gonna bring the Night Mother to the Sanctuary.

Only... the adoring fan was a Bosmer.. and Cicero is actually an Imperial. It'd be an excellent end for the Oblivion character, if it wasn't for the gaping plot hole. Surely with all the trickery and smite of fighting Daedric overlords, the saviour of Cyrodill would notice a pair of fake ears and rad hair wig. I mean I know the face sculptor of the ragged flagon is a woman of many talents, but racial morphing just wasn't something she ever tapped into!
