He was born 7.14.86, making him 17/18 when the film was released.
Though I don't think we can really account on all of this information to correlate, it's not like they were going to go back through every episode and look for any information that would need to be repeated.

Was it? I thought it was in his dream, he was driving and said "WAIT! I don't even have my license!" then pulled it out "Oh!" Then Mrs Puff pops up and takes it and rips it up 'Not even in your dreams, Spongebob.'

He can light a fire underwater. I don't think his age is relevant.

Except, in the episode "Christmas Who" he shows his birth certificate which says his birthday is July 14th 1986. That makes him 25. Get your facts straight buddy.

Ah, but we cannot be certain of the time in which SpongeBob is set. I don't think it ever has a mention of a year, anywhere, oddly enough.

yes we can. david hasslehoff played himself, at his normal age. also, when they show a picture of spongebobs license (i forget what episode it is so don't ask me why he has one) it says it expires on December 14th, 2003. so at least most episodes take place before that date.

Don't worry about it. I know what you mean, anyway.
There must have been 15 posts about his drivers license, all I'm saying is that, since we don't know when the movie is, we have no way of telling his true age.

No not during the movie but remember the episode where he dreams that he got his driver's license? Well, in that episode it shows his driver's license and it shows his date of birth. This was an early episode too.
