I like OP this time, because he actually comes to the comment section and asks us questions, And gives us sneek peeks at the next ones.

I want to craft helmets, is there any tips or basic instructions on how to do it?

Buy good bog. Not hard to sand bog. You want the easiest and best bog you can find. The better the bogging job, the better the helmet. You want tough low grit sand paper (a power sander = perfect). You want a clear idea on how you'll make the helmet and basically bog, sand, bog, sand and repeat this for weeks until you paint.

where I come from, a bog is a toilet, making this thread fantastically surreal to read

Hardware store or an automobile store. Bog comes in both the actual filler and the hardner and then you mix them together (I think it's 1 to every 25 parts) and then stir it up and spread on to the helmet. I made a base out of card before putting the bog on.

last question and I'll stop bugging you, is bog expensive at all? just sort of wanting an estimate price

Australian dollars, I'm able to get 4 litres for $40 and I only used 2 litres on the entire deadmau5 helmet. It can be quite expensive depending on how much you use and how good you are at using it. If you become good at using the bog, then you could save a lot and you wouldn't waste a lot of the bog from sanding :)

I never really enjoyed sculpture and preferred drawing but once I started this hobby, it took over my life for the better and it's amazing turning old objects and helmets into a work of art that everyone can recognize :) I wish you all the best on your journey
