Cutting with diamond tipped blades is one method. The other is to VERY CAREFULLY impact it with a normal metal blade. Not much is harder than diamond, BUT diamonds are somewhat brittle, steel is less brittle. So if you have a hammer and a hot-rolled steel blade, diamond-cutting is not so much a difficult task, so much as a insanely tricky task.
