14 Truths that take a lifetime to learn
By: Drstupid
1. Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and
a laxative on the same night,
2. If you had to identify, in one word, the reason why the
human race has not achieved, and never will achieve, its full
potential, that word would be "meetings."
3. There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental
illness."
4. People who want to share their religious views with you
almost never want you to share yours with them,
5. You should not confuse your career with your life,
6. Nobody cares if you can' t dance well. Just get up and
dance.
7. Never lick a steak knife,
8. The most destructive force in the universe is gossip.
9. You will never find anybody who can give you a clear
and compelling reason why we observe daylight savings
time.
10. You should never say anything to a woman that even
remotely sug" gusts that you think she' s pregnant unless you
can see an actual baby emerging from her at that moment.
ll. There comes a time when you should stop expecting
other people to make a big deal about your birthday. That
time is age eleven.
12. The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless
of age, gender, religion, economic status or ethnic
background, is that, deep down inside, we ALL believe that
we are above average drivers.
13. A person, who is nice to you, but rude to the waiter, is
not a nice person. (This is very important. Pay attention. It
never fails).
14. Your friends love you anyway.
FINAL Thought for the day:
Never be q/ raid to try something, new Remember that hang

There was a documentary where they claim they found his remains. Whether or not he was magical is debatable.

if they found his remains, then there's no way it goes with the religious people believe. They believe that jesus rose from the dead, body included and then lifted himself up to heaven roughly a month later, so did his mom.

About three million rivets were used to hold the sections of the Titanic together. Some rivets have been recovered from the wreck and analysed. The findings show that they were made of sub-standard iron. When the ship hit the iceberg, the force of the impact caused the heads of the rivets to break and the sections of the Titanic to come apart. If good quality iron rivets had been used the sections may have stayed together and the ship may not have sunk.

As for the ark, you don't necessarily have the right to say whether it's fake or not. You're an Atheist I see, so you don't believe the bible. That's fine. But if you're going to correct someone, you better be able to back it up with conclusive evidence, which neither side can clearly provide, so no one can clearly claim whether it really happened or not.

That just means the engineers didn't have sufficient funding, probably wasn't their choice of what materials to use. Also I'm not disrespecting the bible, but you can't fit every single species on Earth on a boat, you couldn't even fit the water and food necessary to keep them alive.

wait what? are you serious? lol. As a Christian, have the burden of proof to show that the bible ISN'T a haphazard collection of old stories and you actually have to havesome solid evidence (if any) to back up YOUR claim. Proving something isn't true is just plain silly.

they found a giant ass wooden boat that was sitting on top of a ******* mountain, with what looked like a bunch of stables built on the inside.
they also found it in the geographic location that coincided with where it would have landed in the bible

do you also need to see noah still alive having sex with a rhino?
other things mentioned in the bible that have been found in real life:
the wall of jericho, golden chariot wheels and horse shoes along a land bridge in the red sea, an altar covered in drawings of idols behind mount sini, and the lost Ark.

And why exactly would the discovery of Jericho and golden chariot wheels proof God's existence?

There are over 25 million species of animals. Even if there was an Ark, they couldn't have fitted in it.

Fair enough: then why would the fact that Jericho and golden chariot wheels exist, imply that the Ark existed as well? They're irrelevant facts.

i'm making the point that it is quite possible many of the things in the bible actually existed. i am using those as examples to show why there is a good chance they really did find noah's ark.
believe it or not im not trying to start a religious debate.

it's really hard to fake a giant wall that also has to look like it was destroyed by a fire, and conveniently finding a land bridge in the red sea and planting a bunch of fake golden chariot wheels is highly unlikely. it is possible that the ark of the covenant was fake, but where they found mt sini the tops of the mountains were black as if they had been burned, which also coincides with the story.
my point is you can't just write all of this stuff off as never happening, regardless of whether or not you believe in god.

Don't worry man. As a historian, I acknowledge the fáct that many, material things mentioned in the Bible are fact. Jericho is a famous historical site, and it's legitimacy can not be debated; nor that of chariot wheels (there have been found chariot wheels dating far older as well). Any story is somehow based on facts. The writers of religious texts often believed the stories they heard and were writing down. So no problem there...

But an Ark couldn't have existed. There is no reasoning that can defend it's supposed existence. None.

well at least you have some logical basis as to deny its existence...other than the fact that "i'm an atheist, therefore nothing in the bible happened"...

not the same thing. harry potter has never been looked at as a possible source of historical fact. you are attempting to copy off of the youtube comment, and failing because im not saying the bible is true because it's been written. the bible has been used as a historical reference, and people have reason to believe that there was at least a person named jesus who lead a christian movement, and graves of biblical characters were found with crosses on their tombstones.

This is false. What was believed to be fossile wood was in fact volcanic stone with scattered pieces of magnetic minerals, which when looked at with seismic imaging looked like wood.
