She didn't report her "missing" daughter for a month, she partied the whole time, searched up "chloroform" and "neck breaking" over 80 times, made up stories to throw the police off, her car trunk smelled like a decomposing body AND chloroform. In addition, they found duct tape and a sticker at the crime scene that they found out Casey's home.
Sure, it's not SOLID, physical CSI-DNA and fingerprint evidence, but for me it's enough to know she's guilty. Now get your head out of your ass.

OK, but that's not how the American Justice system has ever worked. Change it for this one case cause you have a gut feeling she did it? Come on now that's ridiculous. I never said she didn't do it, I said she should be put to death for a gut feeling. Maybe she'd have been convicted if the prosecution went for 2nd or 3rd degree murder and not 1st. Maybe she would have if they were shooting for life in prison and not the death penalty. They aimed to high and they got lazy on their research. For a person to be convicted it has to be beyond a reasonable doubt, this wasn't. The stories point that she did it but the prosecution couldn't prove it. It's their failure. Baez just did a better job at arguing his case. The jury didn't have access to the media so they made their, rather fast, unanimous decision on what they witnessed in the courtroom. That's how our justice system has always been and that's how it always will be.

The US legal system requires that the person be proved guitly beyond a reasonable doubt. That means that there can be no evidence disproving the guilt of the person. In Casey Anthony's case there was no evidence proving the guilt of the person, especially not 100% guilt. Again, I'm not saying that she didn't do it, but it couldn't be proved 100% that she did. *prepares for red thumbs*

twinX (07/09/2011) [-] What makes me kind of mad about our legal system is that now she can basically come out and say she did kill her daughter and nothing can legally be done about it. I know that the 5th Amendment was put in place so that useless legal cases weren't tried millions of times until people got the verdict they wanted, but I think it's kind of ridiculous that people can get away with murdering people like that. And then innocent people can go to jail for basically the same reason.
