its not real, it was from a comic where batman has been sprayed by scarecrow and attends his own funeral. each attendee has their own account of how he died. most if not all of it was completely fake, including it shows catwoman as having an actual cat head. alfred is not the joker, is was a dream.

I May be wrong, but wasn't the story behind to joker that he was the mobster who Shot bruce's parents, and when batman first meets him he falls into some kind of chemical Vat which dyes his skin, changes his hair colour and drives him mad?

No, the guy that shot Bruce's parents was Joe Chill, a nobody.
Joker was originally a loser with a pregnant wife trying to rob the company he worked for when Batman chased him through the chemical factory part of the company grounds, he fell into the vat.

Yeah that sounds correct. It really depends on which comic you read. In "The Killing Joke", The joker falls into the chemicals, but he wasn't the one that shot Batman's parents.

O.o... ummm... pretty sure the established continuity is that joker was part of the red hood gang (even if it was only a little bit) and fell into a vat of chemicals when batman intervened while they were robbing the factory

Alfred... why? It's a cool comic but mentally scarring. Poor, Poor Alfred.

there hasn't been a definitive joker backstory for the comics.
the backstory in which jack napier shot mr and mrs wayne and later became the joker was to make tim burtons batman a little more dramatic, while the origin story in the killing joke was a "what if" floating around in the jokers head.
not even the joker knows who the joker is.

I highly recommend reading this comic book. Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader by Neil Gaiman. Wicked good.
