the starters, yes
but some of the new pokemon are awesome
hell shibirudon is only electric type so it'z only weakness is ground
then it's ability is levitate so it doesn't get hit by ground moves
plus it's a ******* sea lamprey thingy!

First 3 were the best but I totally chose Piplup when I had Pokemon Diamond. Empoleon was FTW
