only less reposting and more OC, demotivational funniness<br />
I know these pics might have been posted before, but I havent seen them on FJ before

The belief that there was nothing
and nothing ha paned to nothing
and then no hing magically
exploded for no reason creatin
everything and then a hunch o
ever thing magically rearranged
itse f for no reason what so ever
into , bits which
then turned into ivysaurs.
Makes perfect sense.
CHRISTIANITY:
The belief that some cosmic
Jewish Zombie can make you
live forever if you symbolically
eat his flesh and telepathically
tell him that you accept him
as your master, so he can
remove an evil force from your soul
that is present in humanity because
a robotoman was convinced by a
talking snake to eat from a magical tree.
Makes perfect sense.

Christianity: the belief that your loving God created you only to worship his ego, with a sinfully inclined nature that he punishes you for, then gives you &quot;salvation&quot; so that you'll thank him for saving you from what he created you to be.

I don't even...

That's how cults work.

Scientologists will give you a personality test and tell you you are a weak minded, depressed individual beyond salvation

From anyone but them.
For a prize of course

I feel that the church has killed true Christianity. I'm agnostic/kinda leaning toward atheist (Former Christian....grew up with it blah blah blah you know), but people try to use religion to act like good people without having to actually be that good. And hardcore Christians (or those hardcore into any other religion) just go too far and discriminate more than anyone else. The churches fund anti gay marriage bills and ****, and some crazy ones protest at the soldier funerals, and that's ********. Live and let live, **** you if I believe differently, I'm not gonna sit here trying to convince you that the big bang happened, so don't try to convert me to whatever religion you are.

You are either a theist or an atheist.
There is no middle ground.
Do you believe in a god? If yes, theist. If no, Atheist.
Agnosticism has to do with knowledge.
The theists have to prove god exists. They are making a positive claim.
We dont have to prove he doesnt. Until they give irrefutable evidence for a god, the default position is to say there isnt one at all.
Also, saying "there is no god" is a logical statement seeing that there has been no evidence to the contrary.
Saying "there is no bigfoot, or lockness monster" is the same.

I actually can kinda relate, and i think everybody is in such a way a "Believer". There is a biological basis for believing in a "Creator". Its the whole false-positive false-negative scenario: IF you treat an event as though its a false negative (to wrongly assume its nothing) you end up dead. To wrongly suppose an event is the result of some sort of plot, or reason, and you may be pleasantly surprised.

Also there is a theory that humans have always been our worst/most prolific enemies. So much so, that it makes sense that we would instinctively think that everything was planned out. You get home and your rug is out of place. You probably bumped it while leaving, but its safer to assume there is an impostor in your house.

And to continue, this can be applied to everything. The sky is so perfect, it must be the result of design. And so on

SO I cannot escape the feeling that there is something watching over us... but I know its a delusion. Probably from evolution, but possibly even from psychosis. So while it may run my life, Its more like a secret (an embarassing one) that I dont let it effect other people.

But I think more people should consider themeselves atheist because there really is no middle ground to a theist. To be a theist and have doubts SHOULD mean you're an atheist. Ironic really

you still have a belief for which there is no objective evidence for, which makes it irrational.

the definition of objectivity is separate from the mind - but everything we know about the world is through our perception of it, therefore, no objective evidence can be said to exist. How do I know my blue is your blue? I don't. You can only be so rational

I'm Christian, and I disagree with most of what the Church does. However, the Bible(which, as you probably know, is the entire basis of the religion) says that Sodom and Gomorrah were obliterated for many reasons, but one of the main ones was homosexuality, so the Church kinda has to hate on that. I mean, God pretty much said with that act "Be gay, and I'll make you suffer"

Also, I think that the Big Bang, evolution, and other such things as this were just tools of God.

Just because everyone does it doesn't mean it's right. I mean, look at when Noah built the Ark. He was the only damn dude in the entire world that didn't break the rules with reckless abandon, and was the only one to survive.
