Racism cards are usually just used as excuses to either get away with something or get something from someone. People abuse it and nowadays no one truly knows what it is to be RACIST anymore. I agree slavery was a long time ago and it's a new era. Did any of us grow up as slave owners? On average, does an american white home own a slave or two? No. That's because time passed, people progressed, and shit moved on. Looks like some people, though, still haven't learned to grow up and move on. You can't fight history, but you can shape the future.

Wasn't that long ago and there are still people that lived through it? Ok you have to be black or the public school system failed you on some terrible proportion. How long ago did you think slavery was outlawed and prohibited. DERHER IT WUS 20 YEERS AGOW!! No, actually slavery was outlawed in 1862 with the Emancipation proclamation announced by Abraham Lincoln. It freed all african american slaves in the states at the end of the Civil War. How about instead of thinking about ourselves as "white" Americans we start to celebrate our heritage? I am Welsh and Irish mostly. My Irish side has St. Patties day. Also, Columbus day is a big Italian celebration (although wrongly) and November is Italian history month, so instead of just playing the we are oppressed as whites card why don't we all find something to celebrate and celebrate it.
Also to the first point, it isn't ok for the anti-white names to continue, I am in a teacher education program and that was the focus of one of the lessons was ending name calling on all fronts.

Now black peple in my state hav started a new "game" where they get in groups of like 5-10 and go "polar bear hunting" where they sneak up behind a white guy and try to hit him in the back of the head hard enoigh to knock him out in one hit and then run if he's knocked out, and kick the shit out of him if he's not. But I guess this is what black people think we deserve for slavery, which wasn't even a decsion made this century.
