User avatar #9 to #3 - ilcecchino (09/08/2013) [-]
Alot of peopel in wheelchairs. with that many friends. are used to it and have accepted it, and are happy. that's why they are able to go and have a game of wheelchair basketball and do ****

Acceptance is a key point to learn

Anyone else have friends that they have no business being friends with? It's the weirdest ******* thing that my buds are basically different opposites of me and vice versa.
User avatar #41 to #14 - theincorrigibleone (09/09/2013) [-]
Different opposites?
Why can't they be the same opposites of you?
User avatar #44 to #41 - sirbutterballs (09/09/2013) [-]
Because same opposites would be annoying. If they have different ideas each they're much more fun.

My close group of friends. One of us is a jock (in the sense he's a sports star), one of us is an orchestra kid, one of us is a stoner, one of us is... I dunno asian, and then I'm a geek. We've all been best friends for 6 years now. Couldn't imagine my life without em.

What is a different opposite?
User avatar #55 to #52 - sirbutterballs (09/09/2013) [-]
Different types of differences.
User avatar #15 to #14 - FAILtim (09/09/2013) [-]
I did, after an internet fight i let go and never saw them again.

I got fed up with their childish behaviour, and the only reason they knew me was because I had a car.

so just an advice. Be prepared to let go unless you're 100% sure they're keepers.

It's the fact that we all basically hate the same things and purposefully rustle each others jimmies that makes us strong. Anyone who doesn't make it through the initial rustling usually leaves. Hell, so far this year we had one contestant and he's at breaking point.
User avatar #18 to #17 - FAILtim (09/09/2013) [-]
Well, goodluck with your buddies. I think I misunderstood the first sentence of your #14th post.

User avatar #19 to #18 - sirbutterballs (09/09/2013) [-]
Well hope ya have better luck with your friendships.
User avatar #37 to #14 - fuckpolitics (09/09/2013) [-]
I think its good to have friends who share different opinions. If you agreed on everything they would be kinda boring, like talking to a wall. Most of my close friends don't share the most of the religious/political views that I have, and when we talk about these topics, it seems to be a more intelligent discussion (less name calling, and more considering your side of story).
Its a better talk than saying something like "God is real" and them saying yep or something. You don't really get anything out of that.

TLDR; Having friends with different opinions is not a bad thing, if anything its a good thing.

I totally hang out with people that are nothing like me, but I guess that's all about being diverse with your friends. It's okay to be different from other people, and you don't have to be like them to be their friend.

It's a metaphor for what drinking beer with your truest friends feels like. It's one of those broments.

I was feeling for a moment and I was listing to Waka Waka (This is Africa) and the singer said "when you fall, get up, oh oh, and if you fall get up, hey, hey" and I swear to god, I was thinking, "This guy in the wheel chair can't get up when he falls"

I still feel

While it was slowly loading for me I saw the first few guys get up and thought they were getting busted for faking a cripple.
User avatar #13 to #7 - siridontcare (09/09/2013) [-]
I would like to add that you don't have to be a cripple to be in wheelchair basketball. Anybody can join... If you have arms.
User avatar #21 to #13 - Blargosnarf (09/09/2013) [-]
Oh really? Although I'm sure the wheelchair is a prerequisite as well.
User avatar #23 to #21 - siridontcare (09/09/2013) [-]
Notice how the chairs always look the same?
User avatar #22 to #21 - siridontcare (09/09/2013) [-]
I think some places provide them.
