I like how when Gohan beats Cell he's called the Messiah, and then he marrries the son of Satan, just a bit funny

The first arc of DBZ I ever watched was the cell one, and it confused me how he went from badass to nerd, but he's a lovable cute nerd trying to fit in and after being in highschool it made sense to me. I like how he decided not to follow in his father's footsteps and did what he wantedto do from the very beginning. I liked the saiyaman arc it was funny and more comedic than the rest of it

personal opinion you either love or hate Gohan in the Buu saga

That's an interesting point you make, and while I agree that DBZ is great when it has humor and light-heartedness, but it's a shame that they took the biggest badass in that part of the show and turned him of all people... and my jimmies never fail to get rustled from Satan taking the credit for Cell's defeat (even if Satan's hero status ended up saving the world).

Personally one of my favorite things in the series was Videl falling for Gohan and Gohan's cluelessness. Oh, Satan taking the credit for beating Cell, that still gets to me, like I said first saga I ever watched and he takes credit for it all so much rage! To be fair when he went ultimate he was extremely badass but then Toriyama changed to make Goku the hero again which I personally think is a mistake and that Gohan should have gotten to be the hero again but oh well, the writer makes the choices.
Besides I still get shivers when he says "Fight you? No, I want to kill you" I only wish it was followed through with that determination because Gohan could have killed him
