Nope I'm pretty sure that's a vesicle, we were shown a presentation on exocytosis about a year ago and this gif was a part of it. I just couldn't remember the specifics

Huh, well it's covered in protein receptor-thingies, it's kinda pill shaped, looks like a bacteria to me.

Vesicles are made from the plasma membrane, plasma membrane has tons of surface receptors - motor proteins move vesicles along a cytoskeleton, that's their purpose. After seeing other comments, most of them are saying what I'm saying so I'm sticking to my guns here

I wasn't debating, **** if I know? In fact I just remember 8th grade biology, and what receptacles are, packets of ***************** that cells or bacteria send of to wherever-the-hell. Could've sworn cytoskeletons were inside cells though... what is a cytoskeleton exactly?

A collection of microtubules made of fibres, it does indeed keep the structure of the cell together and it houses the receptors on cells, the motor protein has a complementary shape to both the cytoskeleton found in the cell surface membrane on the vesicles and the plasma membrane of the cell it is moving along, it uses ATP to move
