Squirt water around like a watergun, as if that was your intention to begin with

How this could've been saved: Toss into the air and catch when it's facing you. Every fail can be saved, you just need to think creatively and quickly.

Tuck in and roll right when he hit the gate. It would've looked like he did a flip at the last second.

He's already squirting water out and away from him, he failed before he had a chance to fix it.

That's actually happened to me before. I accidentally hit my bow against a wall. I just kind of looked up into the audience with a look of pure surprise on my face

... I get that he accidentally dropped a cymbal, but I have no idea what he's doing after that.
User avatar #41 to #32 - durltok (08/10/2013) [-]
It was a middle school band playing the star spangled banner at an assembly. Since the flag was present, all he thought to do was salute it once he couldn't play both cymbals. Kid's a genius.
User avatar #42 to #41 - coolcalx (08/10/2013) [-]
I was wondering if it was the Star Spangled Banner. that's the only song I know of where the snare player just rolls forever.

didn't put two and two together however.

+1 that makes a lot more sense.

It broke, he didnt know what to do, so he improvised.
User avatar #34 to #33 - coolcalx (08/10/2013) [-]
but... I don't... his response makes no sense to me..
User avatar #35 to #34 - communityservices (08/10/2013) [-]
Well he could have a bit of stage fright, they could be playing in-front of a large audience and not just practicing, and the anxiety could have clouded his logical thinking, so he did the first thing that came to mind; you can see he kind of looks a bit skittish after it breaks.
User avatar #36 to #35 - coolcalx (08/10/2013) [-]
it's just his train of thought must have been the most interesting thing ever

"oh **** , dropped my cymbal. **** **** **** it's broken. uhhhh... OH I KNOW. i'll just set this one down righttttt heeeere. and now.... salute. yes. perfect. no one saw it."

I thought it looked like he didn't have a good grip on the strap, but it's hard to for me to tell.

I love that the other kid doesn't even falter with his roll, though. just keeps on truckin'

can't really stop. that would only make it worse
User avatar #40 to #39 - coolcalx (08/10/2013) [-]
no of course not, but the dropped cymbal doesn't even really faze him. if it were me, it would have scared the **** out of me.

cymbals are loud.

i do that if i fall while skiing.. which is admittedly infrequent.

i dont fall often, but when i do, i land next to a bunch of kids in a ski instructing class in a model position
