The Queen's Guard isn't just there for ceremony; they're legitimately guarding the Queen of England, nd they're doing so in the heart of the largest city in England. They're carrying L85s instead of Enfields because a modern automatic, select-fire rifle with a 30-round magazine, the ability to accept various accessories that fires a smaller round is better for their role than a ten-round, bolt-action rifle that's been outdated for decades and fires a round that's got too much firepower for the kind of situations they'd need to use it in (there's a reason assault rifles fire smaller cartridges than the battle rifles of old).

Looks like a MK II SA80 to me. With SUSAT. In fact, when I say looks like, I mean. Ii is an SA80 with SUSAT. 30 round mag 5.56mm. I'm in the UK armed forces. It's what we use. Although for many ceremonial occasions the mag is empty apart from a penny in the top spring so its sounds better when presenting, shouldering and presenting arms where you slap the rifle butt. Lol butt.

i didnt think that their rifles were loaded (i even looked it up on google and it said they werent) , although there are armed police that act as the queens body guards that you'll find at all the gates at buckingham palace and windsor castle

The guns didn't used to be loaded, but they have been since 1996-ish.

Anyways, it's sorta like the Swiss Guard in the Vatican, they're uniforms are ceremony, the people beneath them however, are far from that.

Besides, they've all got bullet-proof vests on underneath the coat.

No, no they don't wear body armour under that uniform. It's too bulky. Sorry.
