Sadly, they will; there will always be that guy. It is only because the Xbox One is a big mess, though. The 360 was fine, so I want be paying them any heed.

I don't feel betrayed so much as I feel microsoft lost sight of what's important for a gamer in favor of being money hungry bitches. Sony entertainment seems run by actual gamers while microsoft is run by businessmen.

PS+ > xbox live, Sony > Microsoft

The Xbox controller really was perfection. You can barely feel it in your hands. Somehow that awkward looking design was exactly what was needed. I don't want to go either... but... I also don't need another way of watching tv.
User avatar #79 to #72 - nevrit (06/14/2013) [-]
It is also nice to not have to pay the extra 100 for the system when you got to ps4.
#70 - thisotherdude (06/14/2013) [-]
I'll miss you xbox, you and your wonderfully comfortable controller designed perfectly for human hands. We've had some good times old boy, I'll never forget you nor the many nights we spent playing Halo and Mass Effect.

I'm there with you. That controller was melded for human hands. And the games we've played were some of the best ever. Now I've got to take the step over to the next curb. I wish the old box well.
User avatar #10 - naruske (06/13/2013) [-]
Yeah, i don't want to leave it either. The controller is for me better on Xbox. I'll miss the Halo campaign and Gears Of War... . I'll still get Ps4.

I bought a PS3 after I got some extra money a few weeks ago to prepare for the incoming game consoles. Most of my PS3 friends are acting pretty righteous about it, saying that they got me over or that I came to the good side and even saying I should make an xbox destruction video. When we get into a conversation about me being on the PS3, we make fun of the Xbox a little, with some truths hidden then and there. Then I make one crack at the PS3, one freaking joke, then they explode about how I need to give the PS3 a better chance, or I'm just being an Xbox fanboy, or how I'm using the xbox too much.

I'm enjoying the PS3. I really do like it, I'm getting used to it. But the Xbox One doesn't change the fact that the 360 is a good system. I like playing Halo, Gears, and even Minecraft with my friends that don't have computers. I like the controller and, even though I hardly ever find a use for it, the kinect voice stuff. Getting a PS3 doesn't change that, and my PS3 friends want to stamp all over my favorite console without me getting in a single tease. It's probably the most unfriendly transition/introduction I've ever had to any fandom.
User avatar #35 - superunclesam (06/14/2013) [-]
People seem so emotionally attached to their gaming consoles. I like my xbox. It has served it's purpose well and kept me entertained for the past half a decade. But the PS4 looks SOOOO much better than the new Xbox. Allowing emotion to cloud judgement just seems so stupid. Do whatever you want though, it's your money (unless you're 12 and it's your parents money, then get a Wii U and don't bitch you little **** ).
User avatar #74 to #35 - thisotherdude (06/14/2013) [-]
The longer you have something you consider "yours" the more attached you grow to it, most 360 owners have had their 360's for a long time. It's hard letting it go when we have so many fond memories. That being said I don't think anyone is letting emotion cloud their judgement, even most loyalist understand that the one is complete **** .
User avatar #44 to #35 - settlwlvs (06/14/2013) [-]
Well, you can look at it this way. Your girlfriend suddenly requires you to:
- compliment her every day, or else she won't talk to you until you do. Even over text
- let her video tape you from start to finish any time you talk to her or do anything with her
- Pay her money any time any of your friends want to borrow anything of hers, and that thing can only be borrowed once

Where as your other female friend who would gladly date and **** you without question doesn't require any of these.
A lot of people would stick with their previous girlfriend despite all these new rules, because of sentimental and emotional attachment. You may say that you can't compare a girlfriend to a gaming console, but then ask yourself this: which one do you play with more?
User avatar #89 to #44 - tylertortured (06/14/2013) [-]
I play with my girlfriend more o_O

I mean **** if you can have a great social life why worry about a cyber one to much
My Xbox is mainly used for netflix, or lastfm/ Iheartradio for music while we do **** .

Pretty much the only time I play a game on there is when I want to talk to some of my online bros, or if I'm trying to teach my gf to play xbox (I brought her from the ps3 side)
User avatar #97 to #89 - settlwlvs (06/14/2013) [-]
Well, take this into account good sir:
the new XB requires you to pay for gold membership in order to use Netflix, whereas the PS4 does not require you to have a playstation plus membership to use Netflix.

But if you plan to do online gaming at all, that won't really matter. PS+ and XBOX gold cost pretty much the same for a one year membership. What it comes down to in the end is which console has better games; you can have Halo, or you can have Kingdom Hearts III. The choice is yours.
User avatar #98 to #97 - tylertortured (06/14/2013) [-]
I have plenty of xbox live, actually a permanent amount, I got my ex into xbox live, she put her live account on auto renew, and then cheated on my dumped me and wants no contact with me, she has no xbox so pretty much left me an infinite account to get on to **** like that with, other than that I have a few years added up of live, due to presents and ****
As for games, inb4 red thumbs, but if kingdom hearts 3 is anything like the new final fantasies I see a LOT of people getting turned off the series just like final fantasy is sort of dying for the old fans
User avatar #100 to #98 - tylertortured (06/14/2013) [-]
Honestly, I'm not gonna get a new console during the initial boom, I'm gonna keep playing my 360 until I hear that all the kinks have been worked out of the new systems, if anything I'm gonna get a cheap ouya, and screw around with it, I'm assuming that since it's made by android, hacking won't be the hardest thing in the world with it
plus 100 dollars new on the market, is a great price
User avatar #99 to #98 - settlwlvs (06/14/2013) [-]
KH3's make it or break it factor is whether it's like I & II, or if it's closer to the handheld games.

Also, I really don't want to see Star Wars or much Marvel in the game, although it will probably happen. I like the games because they centered on our childhood favorites. Take that away, and any nostalgic factor is lost.
User avatar #46 to #44 - superunclesam (06/14/2013) [-]
Well considering I don't have a girlfriend, my xbox. Except my xbox doesn't leave simply because I have no emotional bond with it, unlike all the girls.
User avatar #48 to #46 - settlwlvs (06/14/2013) [-]
Lol, most of us don't. We spend too much time with electronics to have time for socializing.
User avatar #50 to #48 - superunclesam (06/14/2013) [-]
After the last ******** experience with a girl I would rather just be alone. I have a difficult time with the emotions of others.
User avatar #54 to #50 - settlwlvs (06/14/2013) [-]
I'm a very empathetic person and seem to need the emotions of others to get by. It's why I have girls crawling all over me, but none of them want the D; I'm seen as one of them. It does get me out for a lot of lingerie shopping, which can be quite nice, but it doesn't get me laid as often as I would like. It definitely doesn't get me girlfriends, just girl friends.
User avatar #56 to #54 - superunclesam (06/14/2013) [-]
I was similar at one point though mine was a bit forced empathy to others emotions. I am extremely good at listening (though I psychoanalyze everyone) and I had a few closer female friends. Though I recently just said **** it and stopped speaking to them altogether. I have a very small group of friends I associate with and have basically cut off as much contact as possible outside of them. Being outside of High School has it's advantages (such as not seeing those people everyday). I'm tired of dealing with people's **** . It's mentally draining. I'd rather just take care of myself.
User avatar #59 to #56 - settlwlvs (06/14/2013) [-]
I do tend psychoanalyze my friends a lot, and can count the friends I care about and actually do things with on one hand, but I don't find their strife mentally draining. I've always had a part of me that wanted to be a therapist, and they give me that chance without needing to get an actual degree. I think it's kind of fun listening to their problems and helping them solve them, as bad as it sounds. I see it as a thousand piece puzzle, but you have to convince the pieces to move themselves into the right spot without actually touching them.

Oh my god have people just forgotten that Microsoft promised to keep the 360 around until their next gen?!
The Xbox One is Microsofts attempt at a media hub. It plays games, but thats supposed to be an added plus.
They JUST redid they 360 again, they announced it at E3.
Developers will keep developing for 360, likely even developing games that work on both (One disc for one console, another disc for another, and seeing as you won't need both copies if you have both consoles, that works out just fine)
#12 to #7 - rprol (06/13/2013) [-]
the One is the next gen.. or are you talking about the next, next gen?
User avatar #94 to #12 - howunexpected (06/14/2013) [-]

#66 - anon (06/14/2013) [-]
I honestly think i'll be buying the xbox one.
-always buy my games used, and have only rented like 2
-online everyday like 8 hours a day
-never sold a console, so ill be keeping my 360 if i ever feel like playing old games
-was actually impressed with the features they displayed at its reveal
-$100 price difference. whoop di do. even if you have a minimum wage job $100 isn't **** .
-Sony failed to secure exclusive rights to FF15/Kingdom hearts 3 (the only games that would have persuaded me back to playstation)

don't really understand why ppl are literally ******** there pants saying the xbone is the end of gaming.
#82 to #66 - anon (06/14/2013) [-]
I agree. I thought I was the only one who felt this way.
User avatar #90 to #66 - voltwaffle (06/14/2013) [-]
Have you seen the trailer for FFXV? I don't even wanna think about how many discs they're gonna need to spread that game across.
#71 to #66 - trolled (06/14/2013) [-]
not the end of gaming.. just the end of good rep with microsoft. Its not the xbox wont be good with games, just that they had a poor way of introducing so much change..
Like with the whole being online once a day. Most people wont have a problem with that but how they addressed it made me question how well they deal with other problems.
Like how one dude said something like "we have a system for those who cant stay connected. The xbox 360."
User avatar #87 - sympathyforme (06/14/2013) [-]
The cool people can come but the annoying xbox live kiddies, or whatever the proper term for them is, stay with xbox. I'm sure they won't be educated enough to look up the xbone before their parents buy it for them so we should be ok.
User avatar #84 - GhandisPimpCane (06/14/2013) [-]
Then dont stick to your xbox 360, save the money and wait a year, BaM!!! The price will drop and if the policies are not popular affecting profits they will succumb to the pressure and make it both cheaper and regular policy wise. For me personally I was a nintendo fan then xbox fan, never cared for playstation never really will, i like sony though they are a good company.
