"Michael Gambon admitted later on that he saw "no point" in reading the books, so during the whole course of playing the role of Dumbledore, he never read any of them. "

This is one of the reasons why I could barely stand Gambon as Dumbledore. Compared to Richard Harris, he's a complete mess.

See, it would've been a %1230500323 better series if the first dumbledoor didn't die after the second movie. R.I.P. Richard Haris, you made my childhood.

That's nothing compared to the mess they made of order of the phoenix. The whole movie had nothing to do with the book.

On the whole, I found that Dumbledore from Goblet of Fire acted almsot completely against teh books Dumbledore's personality and demeanor. He yells, sounds angry, rarely shows poise.

From the books I've always seen Dumbledore to favor calm rationality. When he gets serious or angry he does so in a cold manner. When he gets flustered or confused he fumbles a bit till he collects his thoughts (not a common occurences but it happened once or twice).
