How a square drill works.... Being able to draw a rounded corner square with an off-centered triangle is the principle behind square hole drill bits.. Am I the only one who thought of this?

That's a four cycle piston, yes?
#28 to #12 - SFreedomX (04/20/2013) [-]
Yes, with 33 valves and triangle shaped spark plugs.
User avatar #84 to #12 - srhkid (04/20/2013) [-]
Well, technacly, its a 2 stroke engine, it fires everytime, unlike a 4 how it has 2 rotations every fire and exhaust
#108 to #84 - SFreedomX (04/20/2013) [-]
Actually, it still functions as a 4 stroke cycle in that there are independent intake, compression, ignition and exhaust stages of the cycle. It's just that it happens 3 times as fast in terms of crankshaft revolutions. In a 2 stroke, intake and compression happen at the same time as well as ignition and exhaust.

ASIANS CAN ACTUALLY READ MINDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The reason a lot of Asians have completely expressionless faces is to avoid accidently showing facial expressions when people think things they don't Ike, find funny, astonishing etc, and they segregate so their not nearly as susceptible to that happening.
Asians also segregate and are very untalkative to avoid accidently saying things that are similar to what people are thinking and going to say.

Try thinking and visually picturing things that are as wild as you can when you are around Asians, and look for Asians who give people dirty/particular looks for what appears to be for no reason.

PLEASE SPREAD THE MESSAGE!!!!!! THE WORLD NEEDS TO FIND THIS OUT!!!!!!

That's the bit about one of Jupiter's moons or something right? yeah it's an excellent sentence due to its randomness out of context but his accent makes the Toblerone-Rolo-Combo my favourite.

I see they finally found a good use for a wankel engine.

> Implying unlimited RPMs isn't good enough
User avatar #59 to #26 - SteyrAUG (04/20/2013) [-]
The maximum RPM is determined by the materials the engine is made out of, so it doesn't have unlimited RPM. I believe you are referencing the fact that a wankel does not have valves, and therefore does not have valve springs, which place the limits on conventional piston engines. However, keep in mind that formula 1 cars run low displacement v-8's at 19k rpms. Many race bikes can see that kind of rpms as well.

Mazda RX8 runs a Renesis II wankel type. Pretty decent gas mileage with awesome torque. I'd say that's useful as well.

Weak low end torque, unreliable with frequent gasket sealing issues.

I agree, had to have the engine pumped about twice. Got 30k kilometers for free though, they straight up popped in a new engine the second time. I still love the purring sound it makes though, straight up fun to drive with a decent set of tires.

Coolest goddamned engines Ive seen, and every time I find a car with one,the motors shot to **** and Im terrified to buy it because the engine seems so complex yet simple.

mechanical hardon ensued.
User avatar #87 to #82 - srhkid (04/20/2013) [-]
Very simple to fix, just make sure you put it together same way as taken apart, next to no moving parta, so less to break, hit 10rm all day, great engine. Loud though
User avatar #88 to #87 - thamuz ONLINE (04/20/2013) [-]
But the tolerences dont they have to be really tight or else you get rattling?

TBH I know abseloutly nothing of a wankel rotary but throw me a standard I4 to V8 engine and I can yank it apart and put it back easy..
