when they film and need move around to follow the shot, the camera isn't moving around. the actor is walking into a store the camera follows him inside, **** like that. idiot

What the **** did you even just say?
I can't understand whatever you said. When you try and rotate the camera... it stays in the same position

Not if you rotate with it. It won't be a pan but it will be a mix between a pan and a dolly shot, camera being rotated on the y axis moving on the horizontal, x axis.

maybe there's a button or trigger that holds the camera position when pressed.

The camera can easily be repositioned. I guess it just can't change angle during shot.

Yes it can.

With any stabilizer.
You can easily push it left and right and rotate your body with it.
It won't be a pan but it will be a very clean circular...ish dolly shot, translated, it will rotate on its Y axis and move on the horizontal axis as well, changing the subject you're shooting.
