Before Michael Jackson died no one cared, after he died, everyone started sucking his asshole. **** Michael Jackson
User avatar #61 to #38 - wethelegion (04/05/2013) [-]
I agree with you somewhat. It is true that he was a huge stereotype for being a pedophile and was highly ridiculed; but when he died everyone "adored" and "loved" him and was even given the title "King of Pop". Not that I argue with is new name, for he was indeed, I thought it was highly hypocritical for everyone to literally 180 their whole viewpoint on him as soon as he was deceased just to jump on a commercial bandwagon. Now I don't agree that everyone now is sucking his asshole at all. Nor do I condone that we should go **** Michael. Hasn't his lifeless corpse been through enough with the constant suction of millions of people on his dry, bony anus? Reconsider your conviction, will you?
User avatar #70 to #61 - rhodesgirl (04/05/2013) [-]

Never say that again, bitch. You never knew him or what he did. No one else in this world will ever get to the point he reached. I would understand if you said " **** the people that didn't care before"... but MJ? Come on, man... that guy's a legend, an idol.

Bro, people have been worshiping Michael Jackson for decades. How old are you?
User avatar #60 to #52 - chancyofmti (04/05/2013) [-]
I'm kinda neutral... i agree and disagree with this conversation. Before he died, any conversation about him either had the word "pedophile" or "pervert" in it but after he died the same people would say he was an amazing artist. I've personally seen a lot of this. but i don't agree with the " **** Michael Jackson" part.
User avatar #62 to #60 - wethelegion (04/05/2013) [-]
Exactly what I was thinking.
User avatar #63 to #62 - chancyofmti (04/05/2013) [-]
same thing with Whitney Houston (may not be spelled correctly) before she died everyone made drug addict jokes but after her death everyone called her an inspiration and an amazing singer. and im just like, if you're going to give someone praise, do it before they die instead of bashing them when they're alive and then acting like you care after they die
User avatar #65 to #63 - wethelegion (04/05/2013) [-]
It seemed even the same for Elvis too. I guess that is the life of the artist :/
User avatar #66 to #65 - chancyofmti (04/05/2013) [-]
That's probably why most of them end up heavily into drugs.. I mean what else is there to do when you have a lot of money and used to be extremely famous and now no one even talks about you other than bashing you
User avatar #71 to #66 - wethelegion (04/05/2013) [-]
You know what, I never thought of that. It must be a very lonely life once it's all gone... People shouldn't ridicule artists over slight rumors paparazzi conjure (besides JB, that kids a flaming faggot). But they still will, for mankind an ignorant people that can be easily swayed.
User avatar #73 to #71 - chancyofmti (04/05/2013) [-]
True. Justin Beiber and 1 direction, Etc. are horrible excuses for musicians. i listen to a lot of deathcore/hardcore music and people say that that isn't music because they can't understand it but i can understand almost every word and unlike modern rap/pop it actually has a message. for example people this the song "Cheyne-Stokes" by Chelsea Grin is just angry but its actually about how the lead singer feels about a girl who was raped and what he would do to avenge the horrible crime that was done to her. as opposed to people like 2-chains rapping about doing drugs and having sex with random women. Music nowadays is horrible. at least michael jackson, elvis, etc had some meaning in their music. but after all, you know what they say. A candle that burns twice as bright only lasts half as long
User avatar #74 to #73 - wethelegion (04/05/2013) [-]
Although I do agree, people will always think the next wave of music is garbage and trash, like my folks to dubstep. Music is seeming to become less and less meaningful. Before music had heart, soul (yes I'm talkin' bout' them sweet baby blues), and meaning. Today's music is nothing but dribble and unintellegent flaunting of personal wealth. (and dubstep does fall in this category only because it has no real meaning, besides being catchy as **** )
User avatar #76 to #74 - chancyofmti (04/05/2013) [-]
I have to admit i am a fan of dubstep. they do make my mood much better. for instance I'll listen to really heavy dubstep if I'm playing something like Black Ops 2. But if I'm outside bike riding and enjoying nature ill listen to more calm tranquil dubstep. it heightens my mood depending on certain situations. The songs don't have a message, but i still enjoy them. If your not interested in hardcore but like calm meaningful music try going on youtube and searching "Bring Me The Horizon- And The Snakes Start To Sing" they used to be a deathcore band but theyve changed a lot. I personally like their old music and new music equally.
User avatar #78 to #76 - wethelegion (04/05/2013) [-]
I don't usually listen to soft music, I just didn't want to leave out the blues since they're pretty important to music history. I'm usually into heavy stuff like metal, screamo, heavy dubstep and stuff like that. I'll check out your recommendation though for you seem like a fellow with great taste.
User avatar #79 to #78 - chancyofmti (04/05/2013) [-]
Well I hope you enjoy. BMTH used to be hardcore but they changed. Supposedly Oli ruined his vocal cords after the first album because he tried to kill himself (with a noose) which messed up his throat... the guy can sing though. It's a good album if you want a bit of a break from heavy metal, but still has some of the roots of their former music. It has some screaming in it, but a lot more meaning and more messages than their previous albums. And thank you for complimenting my taste in music. Not many people (IRL or online) like similar music. good to see someone with an open mind haha
User avatar #83 to #79 - wethelegion (04/05/2013) [-]
I just listened to And The snakes Start To Sing and so far I am impressed. I have no idea why I haven't heard anything of them before. I'm going to continue my research of BMTH

User avatar #80 to #60 - schneidend ONLINE (04/05/2013) [-]
Not every conversation. There was a devoted following out there who were saying he was an amazing artist while he was still alive. Usher and Justin Timberlake both cited him as an influence while he was still alive. The idea that he was universally reviled or not cared about is silly. They marketed those music and video collections to somebody.
User avatar #82 to #80 - chancyofmti (04/05/2013) [-]
Well I wasn't really including other musicians, I was mostly talking about people i see/hear on a day to day basis in school or online on facebook/twitter/youtube etc.
