I'll just stick with Green Day. Their concert yesterday was ******* awesome.
User avatar #87 to #17 - mrshrapnel (04/02/2013) [-]
Where was that, course i will be seeing them in Copenhagen somewhere in July, was it better than 21st breakdown tour?
User avatar #103 to #87 - mmchase (04/03/2013) [-]
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and they only sang 3 songs from the Uno, Dos, Tres trilogy so my guess would be its close to the same.
User avatar #105 to #103 - mrshrapnel (04/03/2013) [-]
hmm, thats rather disapointing was hoping for the full albums.
#98 to #17 - hairibar (04/02/2013) [-]
did you even heard Mike's voice? I've heard they gice him a very low volume at the voice.
Also, you lucky bastard. I've got to wait until 13th July to see them (and that's been already 9 years waiting, since American Idiot.)

I don't understand your red thumbs for talking about a band you like. I gave you a thumb sir, as an opinion is a good thing to have.

I don't understand the appeal of concerts.
Recorded tracks are played under the best possible conditions. You're paying more to hear songs in considerably worse quality.
Surrounded by screaming masses.
Without being in the comfort of your own home or other place of your choosing.
Unable to do anything else besides listen to the expensive, lower quality music.
User avatar #23 to #14 - poophaspooped (04/02/2013) [-]
Some artists/bands are better live because it sounds genuine. It's hard to appreciate tracks because almost anyone can sound good on it. When they're good live it's a whole new experience. Also when it's super loud it's really intense and awesome. That's just how I feel about it though.
#29 to #14 - rebelliousoctopus (04/02/2013) [-]
IT'S ALL ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE MAN! The rush you get from seeing your favorite artists, the people who inspire you to follow your dreams, the people you love so much, right there in front of your face. Singing straight from their hearts to their fans. If you don't understand the feeling, you don't understand music.
User avatar #32 to #29 - aldheim (04/02/2013) [-]
If a bunch of people spitting noise into a sound system to fill their wallets is what inspires you, then I think I understand why concerts are so successful.
Hint: it has to do with IQ levels and a word that rhymes with 'mow'
#37 to #32 - rebelliousoctopus (04/02/2013) [-]
Dude, no. Maybe you don't understand the euphoria that millions of people are filled with from the concert experience, but I can assure you that it doesn't lessen my intelligence by a single ounce. I didn't claim you feeble minded for not understanding why people enjoy it. I was explaining to you how it makes us concert goers feel. Don't be disrespectful just because you cannot grasp the idea of someone having different interests as you.
User avatar #40 to #37 - aldheim (04/02/2013) [-]
I have been watching excessive amounts of zero punctuation all day and the little wit I'm capable of is stuck on 'insult'. Also I'm narrating everything in his voice.
#41 to #40 - rebelliousoctopus (04/02/2013) [-]
All I have left to say is don't knock it until you try it. You're a fool to disregard my intelligence because I enjoy different pastimes. I don't have anymore time for such a person to try and put me down.
User avatar #67 to #32 - theshadowed (04/02/2013) [-]
If you're calling someone an idiot for being a social recluse, you might be slightly hypocritical here
User avatar #35 to #14 - timelordeternal (04/02/2013) [-]
There are some bands that are actually good live, those are the kind of people you go to see.
User avatar #36 to #35 - aldheim (04/02/2013) [-]
I'm not denying that they're good live, but they're better when not having to compete with screaming fans.
User avatar #38 to #36 - timelordeternal (04/02/2013) [-]
Well, it also has to do with stage presence. I'll use my favorite band as an example. Avenged Sevenfold is great live, they are all actually good with their respective instruments and the lead singer is good at singing/screaming live. But they also have a huge stage presence and they're fun to watch. They joke around, bring up members from the audience, etc. They actually make it a good time and it's fun to watch.
#46 to #14 - anon (04/02/2013) [-]
You've clearly never been to a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert homie...
User avatar #55 to #14 - burndt (04/02/2013) [-]
I guess it's the experience, and seeing your artist/band live in person. I've been to one huge concert before, and it was ok, not everything everyone says it is.
I'd rather just chill at home and listen to music by myself in the best quality, because that's just how I am.
User avatar #62 to #14 - mostlyshits ONLINE (04/02/2013) [-]
It's nice and loud, you get to see band member's interactions with each other and the fans, and if it is a good band it will still sounds amazing, plus if its a fun band they will have wacky antics
those are my reasons at least
#66 to #14 - lilli (04/02/2013) [-]
Then you probably listen to ****** music... i mean i wouldn't want to go to a skrillex live, but i don't want to listen to him anyway.
#73 to #14 - anon (04/02/2013) [-]
youve obviously never seen Metallica or KISS live, your really missing out
User avatar #108 to #14 - Katzie (04/15/2013) [-]
Actually, large concerts pretty much are **** like you say. But if you go to a real concert, small and where you're actually listening to the musicians rather than a filtered speaker, you'll definitely notice that it's amazing.

however concerts are just as much the experience and the atmosphere as much as the music one of those, you had to be there things. See for yourself

It's the feeling of being one with a crowd of thousands. You become one with legion.

You become a being on a new tier of existence.
#88 to #14 - anon (04/02/2013) [-]
Hey Mr. Introvert, some people enjoy being in large crowds of people, all enjoying a similar taste in music. You feed off each others positive energy and adrenaline. It's a fun experience.
#22 to #14 - anon (04/02/2013) [-]
Its just another experience really. Sure you don't get to see dj's "perform" live songs like a traditional band but its still really fun to go and see someone who you really like go up and play their music.

Although, it really helps when they've got their own little unique spin to the show or something. Like for example with Deadmau5, he's got his helmet and the stage itself is a giant light up cube. Its just kinda neat to look at, and you get to meet a bunch of new people with same music interests and enjoy just a really cool show.

Or some people like to just get drugged up and listen to music, idunno
#26 to #22 - anon (04/02/2013) [-]
or maybe you're a faggot because you listen to deadmau5 when you could listen to good music like pink floyd, or slayer, or you know, something that takes talent, ******* faggot.

Or maybe tastes in music vary from person to person, and you don't have to be such a festering cunt sack about it.

I don't like Deadmau5 either and that was over the line. Everyone's all happy, sharing their experiences with concerts, and you come in and **** it up.

Oh, and Slayer? That's the best example you could come up with?
