If EA would provide better service to their customers than pirates, the problem would be considerably smaller.

It doesn't matter how good the service is, there will always be cheap ***** that don't feel like they have to pay.

Why does it look like Titan AE and Anastasia?
Is it the same artists? (i know its not directed by the same guy)
<--- pic related its Anastasia.
#250 to #237 - bulbakip (03/18/2013) [-]
It is very similar to titan AE. and it is probably similar or same artists to Anastasia as well as Atlantis. I had an old gf that didn't like any of these disney movies because they were like "not main disney movies" or something stupid, hence why she's an ex.

what about it didnt make sense? plus it dosnt have to make sense when you can kill a tiger and shark with a bow in a 10 minute period
User avatar #195 to #193 - mondominiman (03/18/2013) [-]
The story made little sense. I don't take game play into account because c'mon killing a bunch of rabid dogs with a flamethrower and RPG. It was originally going to be some guy who wants to save his friends and kill the guy who kidnapped them but somewhere along those lines he tries to kill his boss too even though by then all his friends were free. Also he's on some drug that kicks in during moments that turns him into some sort of invincible machine. He gets stabbed in the chest by Vaas and awakens perfectly fine with Vaas dead.

While that is true someone on crack/cocaine/heroin/ect can break their arm and not feel it for an hour. Still it's just a game and it was fun nonetheless

The logic of programming.

If there is a method of action needed to unlock a certain area, then there are multiple ways of completing that method of action.
All technology is crack-able with enough power/time/effort

I think he is talking about the fact that a large part of the game is actually run from the EA servers and so to pirate SimCity you would need to have a server that can replicate the EA servers processing.

Offline mod got released on piratebay about 20 hours ago, it will only take a matter of days before a server emulator is made for authenticationing, wich also gives access to local save file storage. thats my thoughts anyway.

As long as data can be manipulated by a computer, no game is uncrackable. It's only a matter of time.

User avatar #48 to #45 - lunargreenhouse (03/17/2013) [-]
Everything is. It's only a matter of motivation, computer power, knowledge and time. The whole purpose of a computer is to manipulate data. Compute. There is always a way. You just need to find it.

Are you mentally retarded? If you buy Sim City you don't even own your own save files! And you cant play single player without a internet connection or anything else (DRM)... And now on "the pirate bay" you can even get a fix so you can build outside the small areas you get to build on and a crack that gives you offline mode. Crackers can crack everything! End of story.
User avatar #325 to #50 - Encarna (03/18/2013) [-]
Ubisoft who are also famous for DRM release games such as Might and Magic : Heroes VI and Far Cry 3. Both were cracked, both were patched, both are playable for free. That should tell you that DRM is hardly a limitation.

I give SimCity a few weeks before it is also cracked and patched. I can assure you that as many people have already said to you, it is not a matter of how, it is a matter of when.
#310 to #45 - Rascal (03/18/2013) [-]
there are games people simply don't care to crack... hawx anyone?

simcity's drm isn't that unique or new... at least diablo did it "better" simcity doensn't even need internet to run and the save files can be rerouted the same way people do with uplay saves.

the blue pony user is right, every program is crackable.

I remember the tweet where EA said they were working on the Simcity servers 24/7, and that their fans were their number one priority.

Simcity is likely the last game i buy from them, they used to be my favorite gaming company, but now i just resent them

STOP PIRACY! Lower Game prices >.> most of the game I pirate I would actually have bought if they were for 25-30$, but to charge $60 for a game that literally has an achievement for beating it in under 4, then 2 hours.... that's less time than I would have worked to buy the game.

I'm not buying any more PC games from EA. Their Origin service is very buggy and causes performance slowdowns for those of us who don't have a high end gaming rig, plus for those of us who have slow internet speeds, it just adds to the whole mess. Why can't we just pop in the game, install it, and play it? Pic related, its EA's customer service.
