If EA would provide better service to their customers than pirates, the problem would be considerably smaller.

I remember when i payed $40 for a 100 megabyte pixelated game.

People dont seem to understand that you cant do this anymore. technology has changed, and with technology, so has our games and our standards.

Music for example, hard as **** to pirate a record which you payed cheaper just to buy it. now we are in the digital age, where it only takes 3 clicks and 20 seconds to get 1 song downloaded off youtube.

you couldnt do that 7 years ago, where youtube was still down underground and the only music you could find for free was instrumental bit music. As a kid, i wanted to download the opening song of pokemon, but i had no idea how or where. Even ringtones costed money, looking back, we got ripped off a lot. Movies for example, i payed $15 for "shrek 2" back when i was 11, almost 6 years ago. Now i just download movies off piratebay for free... I mean i only watch them once, never do i watch the same movie twice.

So the problem isnt piracy, its the ease that technology has made available to us.

STOP PIRACY! Lower Game prices >.> most of the game I pirate I would actually have bought if they were for 25-30$, but to charge $60 for a game that literally has an achievement for beating it in under 4, then 2 hours.... that's less time than I would have worked to buy the game.

Everybody's talking about piracy and I'm just enjoying a Colbert/Conan/Stewart gif.

Anyone have the original of that without the caption?

Shouldn't pirates and paying customers be the other way round?

EA tries to stop piracy by installing DRM, which only inconveniences paying customers. Customers then get mad at the pirates thinking that if they stopped pirating so would DRM. Pirates then pirate the game because they don't want to put up with restrictive DRM. EA then proceeds to ignore the reasons for pirating it and continue to use draconian ******** methods to stop people from pirating their games. Customers get annoyed with pirates, pirates keep pirating to avoid dealing with DRM, EA keeps using DRM in a futile and ironic attempt to stop pirates.
