Some times I just see footage of animal behavior and wonder why they do it. Like, why did this bird attack the owl? What did it stand to gain from it?

He wants the owl to leave so he acts like a dick, keeps bugging him and probably yells at him too. It's a desperate thing a lot of small birds do to drive away big predators. Besides that, owls rely on stealth so he'll probably leave when he know he has been seen.

I see birds and even rabbits doing that with my neighbours cat very often. I always wondered why they put their life in such a big danger just for fun, then i realized that humans do the exact same thing only in a more stylish way
