Hey, so did I! It was almost threadbare by the time it finally wore out.

Couldn't agree more sir. Well said.

I miss these cartoons...the 'cartoons' nowadays are only polluting children's minds into thinking about pointless things. There isn't even any real humor involved. What happened to the old cartoons where humor was actually present, and humor was the reason it was entertaining? There was no need for dialogue, and no need for sexual innuendos--it was pure genius.

You really have to watch this before you make any kind of statement about no sexual innuendos.

There was oodles and oodles of sexual innuendo in early cartoons. Tex Avery in particular was a master at it.

The new dumbass generation and the new dumbass cartoons are in a symbiotic relationship with eachother.

Rrriiiiggghhhtttt.

Just because you were to young to catch the adult humor, doesn't mean it wasn't there.
Get over yourself.

What older cartoons made children think about important things?

I can think of more than a few recent cartoons that aren't half bad, adventure time, avatar, and flapjack before it was cancelled.

Tom and Jerry, whilst making me laugh uproariously, made me realise that no matter how much I wanted something (to catch and eat that ************* mouse) I wouldn't always be able to get it, and if I went about it the wrong way (blowing **** up) I'd end up in **** for it. Also, in the episodes where they worked together aginst a common enemy, it made me realise that sometimes we have to set aside our differences in order to achieve a common goal.
******* love T&J man.

One of those "Imagine if cartoons were real" Moments... Imagine if in a bullfight or the running of the bulls, everyone had to keep an eye on the bulls tails, just for that telltale twitch before the bullets start flying.....

Hue.... telltale tail of bull bullets
