Fantastic acting in the movie.

However, I think I have an unpopular opinion here, because after Dr. Schultz died, I kinda thought the movie went to **** . It just became a shoot 'em up, and it wasn't an intelligent ending at all. The ending spoiled my impression of the movie, but ending aside, it was a great film.

It was truly amazing. When I heard about Leonardo's hand injury, I was stunned. The fact that he cut his hand during shooting, and smeared his real blood on that girl, that's real acting for you.

Honestly, I can recommend this movie to just about anyone. The script was solid, the acting was perfect, and the story resolution was the best I've seen in years. If you don't like carnage, this movie may be a little gut-wrenching for you. However, for those who aren't phased by blood (or maybe even enjoy it), this movie is one of the best I've ever seen, and I strongly encourage you to see it.

Anyone who has seen this movie knows exactly what I'm talking about when I say, "Aw, man, I can't see ******* **** outta this thang!"

^^ That was probably the best five minutes of unexpected comic relief I've ever seen in a kick-ass action movie.

What ? The story resolution was awful, it was good up until the point where the doctor randomly shoots candy and then goes into a huge butt **** of violence that was poorly written into the story

I liked the film but the setup for the ending wasn't great

You're being thumbed down because you have an unpopular opinion, but I agree completely. Fantastic movie until Schultz died. After that, all intelligence was lost.
User avatar #58 to #54 - PubLandlord ONLINE (01/20/2013) [-]
I know man, I thought up to that point it was doing really well, and then was quite a lazy finish in order for a huge shoot out that didn't really add anything to the story, kind of in the same way Seth Macfarlane does sketches in family guy.

It was really unnecessary to complete change the direction of the film from them having an intricate plan, acting their parts and the whole charade about Eskimo Joe to suddenly the Doctor turning full circle just so tarantino could include a huge shoot out that only added action but nothing to the plot.
#60 to #58 - greasychesticles (01/20/2013) [-]
Exactly. It was completely out of Schultz's character to just shoot Candie like that. It was just a poor excuse to have a shoot em up ending
User avatar #61 to #60 - PubLandlord ONLINE (01/20/2013) [-]
Yeah and for anyone arguing that it was because Schultz "couldn't help it" and that Candy deserved it or because of the flashbacks Schultz was having of the dogs killing a guy , is a poor argument because

Schultz was a guy who killed people for a living with even batting an eyelid, and transported the bodies around with him. And also by killing Candy he essentially killed Django and broomhilda becuase there was no way he could have forseen them getting out alive , they realistically should have been killed.

I thumbed you up for not being an asshole in your response and actually providing a well-rounded opinion.

Yeah man if you have the time check out the film 12 angry men on youtube, the full length film from the 1950's is on there, and it's really easy to watch

i've seen Django twice and I most definitely will be watching it again. The movie is so ******* great; probably one of the best movies I've seen ever. From the ridiculous carnage, to the horrors it shows of slavery, to the ******* KKK complaining about their hoods. This movie has it all, and it is so good.
Also, everyone in the movie plays their character incredibly. Oh and not to mention this is Tarantino, so the directing is awesome.

that movie was really good.. Quinton Terrentino's directing style is probably my favorite.

I mean, he keeps the issue, and the seriousness, whie being able to be fun and entertaining without overly distracting from each other. I like to call some moments in his movies 'Terrentino cheese' because the cheesy moments he wants in movies almost always work well, and don't ruin the movie.

I think being able to blend things in movies like he does is quite the talent.
