I'm actually trying to save enough money to build a decent gaming pc that will last me at least like 2-3 years before it's outdated. Any clue what that would run me?

If you do deal hunting, you can easily build a nice computer for quite a cheap amount. I built a computer 2 years ago with only $450 that still runs all games on medium or greater settings. Take a little bit of time, do some research on deals, and you'll get more than your money's worth.

Mine ended up between good and very good, do you think I could play games like fallout and skyrim on normal setting easily with a couple lower end mods?

600 should do it if you play your cards right.
