in most pcs there is an hidden account "magical fairy princessistrator" with blank password.. if i remember correctly, when you have to insert the password, you simply have to press ctrl+alt+canc (or end instead of canc maybe?) once and a dialog window should appear.. magical fairy princessistrator as username and no password.. At least, i'm sure this worked in windows XP.. Never tried on 7

Reboot windows 7, but pull out the power midway through the boot. Twice.
It should now launch startup repair. Wait for it to complete. (can take over an hour)
It will say 'startup repair could not detect a problem'
There should be a button somewhere that says show problem details. Click it.
Scroll to the bottom of the scrollbox that opens out and there should be info on Microsofts provacy policy. It will say 'to view offline click here' or something like that. Click it.
It will open up notepad.
From there go file->open browse to C:\windows\system32\ and right click->run cmd.exe

BAM you now have system-level access to the computer.

This is how I broke into my school laptop.
I don't remember it very well and I'm not going to wait the hour to check if it's correct.

If somebody actually still used win98 this would be useful.
Otherwise **** you.

My school still uses it unless you're in a computer specific class. There's 1 computer lab for those classes with fairly decent computers. They ran Borderlands on high pretty well

In 98 if you didn't belong to a network workgroup (what was true for most people as there was no boadband-internet and therefore routers were rare) you could just click Cancel to go straight to the desktop
