Learn how to articulate. Also, if there is a god, then yes he is omnipotent. Not that I believe in god.

This guy reminds me that I exercise to burn fat. My muscle got bigger but my fat stays. No matter what I do I look like a muscular penguin.
#24 to #4 - notafunnyguy (11/20/2012) [-]
having fat is good when you're working out. your muscles will grow A LOT faster with all the extra room to grow in. if someone was skin and bone and tried to gain muscle it almost definetly wouldn't work as well. your arms are going to get tone, run and you will lose weight
User avatar #27 to #4 - Reverend (11/20/2012) [-]
>Burn fat
>Build muscle
Pick one.
If you want to look shredded you need to have periods of bulking and cutting.

**christanych rolled a random image posted in comment #58 at Canada... ** wow, for once funnyjunk can talk bout working out and know what it is, instead of being fat op's living in their mother's basement

I used to have that problem too. I figured it out though. After you build the mass and power you wanted go to more of cardio style workouts, or burnouts. It adds definition while retaining strength. hold on I will get some pictures up to show the results.

here you go. in the before I am the one laying across the "wing" of the Apache.

The second was 2 months after the first pic.

Cardio = fat burning
Weights = muscle gain

Pretty simple stuff.
#26 to #14 - Rascal (11/20/2012) [-]
You can burn fat by lifting weights aswell, it all depends on your food intake. You can't build muscle if you dont get enough proteins and calories.
#72 to #14 - Rascal (11/20/2012) [-]
No. Cardio isn't fat burning. Cardio is energy-burning. Energy burning =/= fat burning. You can't consciously decide what your body use to make glucose (ATP).

Even shorter: You're a ******* moron.
User avatar #95 to #72 - lolpandas (11/20/2012) [-]
No, Cardio burns fat after a couple of stages.
Stage 1- Glycogen depletion resulting in increased ATP production. The amount of gylcogen is directly related to your diet.
Stage 2 (estimated at around 30 minutes of moderate intensity, normal glycogen amounts) - FAT burning occurs. Glycogen is depleted, and your body is smart enough to differentiate between tissues and results in the burning of fat. Overworking can result in muscle catabolism.
