To everyone saying '**** the police'. I just graduated from the academy here in Denton. Texas and you know what I get to deal with?
1) Drunk UNT students who have the same view of '**** the police'
2) Drunk rednecks with guns
3) Drunk douchebags with guns
4) Gangs that find it funny to kill cops
I'm becoming a cop to serve the public, not beat people *******************. I'm here to serve, I won't be as sacrificing as anyone in the military or as honorable. But I'll be damned if I let a stereotype define me and my duty to the public.

Good luck. My brother is applying for jobs around here. I live in Virginia and I've been to Blacksburg's and Christiansburg's citizens police academy and I'm going to do Virginia Tech's citizens academy next spring spring. I truly think that the classes help adjust your mind.

To everyone who hasn't done a ride along with the police, I highly suggest doing so in the future, you'll see all the **** they have to put up with.

You might also say "**** the police" but who do you go crying to when someone steals your ****, or puts you in the hospital?
I'm not trying to make you think what I think, but there is a majority of good cops compared to corrupt cops.

shall i count how many cops bum rush that dude? even if he's a baby killer, the guys down and out so lets beat the **** outta him? what about the old lady that was pulled from her car after she watched a 20/20 thing about fake cops. she drove slowly with her four ways on to a more populated area and stopped..the cop shattered her window dragged her from the car beat and tasered a 70-90 something year old women. i used to wanna be a cop i really did, and then i seen how big of a ******* lie the 'hero' thought is. firefighters those are the real ******* hero's. you work for a broke justice system putting 'cyber criminals' away for 50 years, but a murder gets 5 years or even less? **** you and your badge. one good cop does not make up for 100 bad ones. the cops are in a position of power and they abuse it... **** the badge and yeah i'll say that even if i get mugged or asaulted because by time the cops come the 'perp' will be long ******* gone, and the case will get forgotten to busy running to Tim Hortons or Starbucks for a coffee and donuts lazy bastards

but your examples are faulty, the cops aren't dedicated to do bad things (and for the sake of philosophy, we'll use breaking the law as something bad), the cops you're talking about are bad cops. I don't know if you live in an area where most cops are corrupt, but where I live the cops are very friendly. No need to be hostile to a random police officer trying to do his duty that you've never met before.

no but when i get pulled over for a burnt out tail light that literally burned out as i left work and i get pulled over not 15 minutes later and the cop is all like i tow your car, and hears a 50 dollar fine. im like you tow my ******* car and i'll cave your face in...**** the cops around here their was a large native protest and to keep the peace between the whites and the natives they allowed a drunk native to drive her car from the protest and in front of every she T boned a brand new chevy pickup. the smell of booze inside that car was so strong we could smell it as she passed by.. but some poor older white dude got really hurt because the cops would not do their job...youtube caledonia native riots or protests...they ripped out the road, destroyed a power relay station burned down homes, robbed and stole cars, trucks, quads. shot at people shot at cops, turned a servey into a fort with flags n **** every where they blocked off roads with ripped down power towers the big steel *******. and what did the cops do? nothing not a damned thing. when the town people formed a protection posse the cops were ordered to fire at them. but when the natives opened fire with high power fully automatic weapons (AK-47's, 308 rifles, and shotguns knowning because i was there when the shooting started) the cops dipped into their cars and hid. even when the fights broke out the whites and the natives targeted the police before targeting each other. a man who lived in the survey was beaten to death by native teens...the police knew who it was from multiple witnesses but did nothing...so yeah **** the cops. my little cousin was seriously injured, he was a smart kid and now he cant even feed himself. his mothers house was heavily damaged by gunfire and a truck being driven through it, then it was set on fire a few days later. the cops did nothing

I can see what you're saying, but you're letting one experience cloud your opinion of all police officers in the country. The police in that situation were most likely told by government officials to let the natives riot, because if there's one bad thing about this country that i'll admit, it's that we're way too politically correct. I feel that you should direct your hatred more towards the ******** that made the decision to not go after the natives rather than directing it towards law enforcers in general. I understand that you're only human, and you don't want to forgive those cops, and it's okay. They were preforming their orders but that's not a legitimate excuse to commit an atrocity. But please don't group them with the rest of the good police officers in this country.

Because it's against the law... It doesn't matter if it's not harming anyone.
Get off your lazy ass, resister to vote, sign petitions and get the option of the legalization on the ballot, and get it legalized so you won't be breaking the law and being arrested for it.
OR you have 2 states to chose from to move to if it's really that important to you.

I vote and I'm active in my local and national political process. I just don't think that a majority has the right to tell me or anyone else what moral code I should be following. I live in the USA, which was supposed to be the land of the free, but for some wierd reason we have 23% of the world's prison population. More than any other country. Over half of all arrests every year are for non-violent drug crimes. That means that 11% of the world's prison population are doing time for a victimless crime.

I agree that the main reason for over populated jails/prisons is because of non-violent crimes.

Such as marijuana.I'm not going to say drug crimes because other drugs result in gangs and drug lords and ******* crazy violent people

But until it's fully legalized I'm not going to bitch about it. There's plunty of ways to not get caught with it and get in trouble with it. I think once someone is getting caught with it multiple times it probably is something they shouldn't be doing, because they clearly can't handle it like a responsible person.

You say victimless (funny how I went to college just to become a cop huh), the sale of drugs profits organisations such as: MS-13, Crips, Bloods, Cartels, etc. I literally cannot list all the gangs and organizations you are funding that actually go out of their way to kill innocent people for territory and money. You want there to be no cops? Then there should be no drugs, no motivation for the murders, thefts, and illegal smuggling. Buying any form of weed is perpetuating the cycle that makes cops look like assholes. Victimless my ass.

I personally could care less, but it's called a JOB. If I'm ordered to, I have to. If I don't 'see' it, I wouldn't even think to even touch you. Personal beliefs and orders conflict sometimes, that's life and you have to grow the hell up sometimes.

My point exactly. "It's my job" "I just do what I'm told" These are excuses to help you sleep at night. When my job involves stealing years away from innocent people, I get a different job. Cops don't protect and serve. They're the boots on the ground for the tyranny in the Capitol of whatever state and/or country you live in. The only things people should be arrested for are killing, stealing, assualt, and kidnapping. You'll probably arrest 30 people this year for these crimes, and hundreds for other dumb ****.

Now you're just out to martyr yourself. "Down with the man" is what you would say in the sixties, giving kids as young as ten hits of acid saying "it's alright man, I didn't do anything wrong". What you're doing is illegal, that's tough ****. Back in the 1940's alcohol was illegal, then they made it legal once more for the distilling and sale of alcoholic products. Give it time, and learn to hide what illegal activity you are doing, be smart for ***** sake. Your dad is a judge, least you can do is LEARN.

Haha, the badge will be worn as proudly as possible. There's other ways to take someone down without physical violence though. 2) The law ain't perfect, but neither are you.
3) Assault of a police officer/ANYONE is a crime. So if they spit on you, that's assault. I would personally laugh it off, but now since I have the authority to do whatever I please. I might as well kill them. Oh wait, I need to fill out paperwork for damn near everything I do. You truly are ignorant of the justice system.
