To everyone saying '**** the police'. I just graduated from the academy here in Denton. Texas and you know what I get to deal with?
1) Drunk UNT students who have the same view of '**** the police'
2) Drunk rednecks with guns
3) Drunk douchebags with guns
4) Gangs that find it funny to kill cops
I'm becoming a cop to serve the public, not beat people *******************. I'm here to serve, I won't be as sacrificing as anyone in the military or as honorable. But I'll be damned if I let a stereotype define me and my duty to the public.

You're a fag. Now you're gonna be out there arresting non-violent people because it's your job, and that's what will help you sleep at night. I garuntee that one day you or one of your friends is gonna shoot someone who didn't deserve it, and everyone in your department will defend it no matter the situation. Because it's against the law... It doesn't matter if it's not harming anyone.
Get off your lazy ass, resister to vote, sign petitions and get the option of the legalization on the ballot, and get it legalized so you won't be breaking the law and being arrested for it.
OR you have 2 states to chose from to move to if it's really that important to you.

I vote and I'm active in my local and national political process. I just don't think that a majority has the right to tell me or anyone else what moral code I should be following. I live in the USA, which was supposed to be the land of the free, but for some wierd reason we have 23% of the world's prison population. More than any other country. Over half of all arrests every year are for non-violent drug crimes. That means that 11% of the world's prison population are doing time for a victimless crime.

I agree that the main reason for over populated jails/prisons is because of non-violent crimes.

Such as marijuana.I'm not going to say drug crimes because other drugs result in gangs and drug lords and ******* crazy violent people

But until it's fully legalized I'm not going to bitch about it. There's plunty of ways to not get caught with it and get in trouble with it. I think once someone is getting caught with it multiple times it probably is something they shouldn't be doing, because they clearly can't handle it like a responsible person.

You say victimless (funny how I went to college just to become a cop huh), the sale of drugs profits organisations such as: MS-13, Crips, Bloods, Cartels, etc. I literally cannot list all the gangs and organizations you are funding that actually go out of their way to kill innocent people for territory and money. You want there to be no cops? Then there should be no drugs, no motivation for the murders, thefts, and illegal smuggling. Buying any form of weed is perpetuating the cycle that makes cops look like assholes. Victimless my ass.

My point exactly. "It's my job" "I just do what I'm told" These are excuses to help you sleep at night. When my job involves stealing years away from innocent people, I get a different job. Cops don't protect and serve. They're the boots on the ground for the tyranny in the Capitol of whatever state and/or country you live in. The only things people should be arrested for are killing, stealing, assualt, and kidnapping. You'll probably arrest 30 people this year for these crimes, and hundreds for other dumb ****.

but your examples are faulty, the cops aren't dedicated to do bad things (and for the sake of philosophy, we'll use breaking the law as something bad), the cops you're talking about are bad cops. I can see what you're saying, but you're letting one experience cloud your opinion of all police officers in the country. The police in that situation were most likely told by government officials to let the natives riot, because if there's one bad thing about this country that i'll admit, it's that we're way too politically correct. I feel that you should direct your hatred more towards the ******** that made the decision to not go after the natives rather than directing it towards law enforcers in general. I understand that you're only human, and you don't want to forgive those cops, and it's okay. They were preforming their orders but that's not a legitimate excuse to commit an atrocity. But please don't group them with the rest of the good police officers in this country.

I ******* hate the comments section whenever people try to discuss a serious subject.

From what I've read, a lot of you are ******* morons who throw blanket statements around and tell others to grow up. They are the ones getting the most thumbs up/down. I bet an actually intelligent statement would get a bunch of faggots hooping and hollering.

Listen, faggots. Yes, the ****** in this gif killed a cop, but cops aren't, or at least shouldn't be, neanderthals. Reacting to a crime with nothing but emotion is not what a cop should ever do. It's what makes all of these "**** da police" people so angry. Yes, in this case, the guy should get a terrible beating for killing someone, at least in my opinion, but life in prison should be pretty ******, too. Sure, you don't get to avenge your fallen comrade, but if you signed up to be a police officer, you should understand that there is a possibility of you or your friend dying. Yes, it's horrible, but it's what you signed up for, and as a man of the law you need to follow the law.

There are other cases where the cops are actually in the wrong, by the way. Cops aren't saints, and even saints aren't perfect. There's one case of police brutality that gained quite a bit of attention. It was a guy named Robert Leone. You can look up his story, it will likely piss you off. But there are also cases where cops are really ******* cool.

TL;DR: It's all up to the individual cop. There isn't a certain "all cops suck" or "all cops are great." Please try to be open minded about stuff.

I'm done digging my own grave now. I'm prepared for it to be filled with red thumbs.

I don't know about you guys. If I were a cop and a guy I'm chasing just killed one of my best friends, I'd punch the guy.
It may be police brutality but hell that's the only time I'll be able to do it.

More bandwagoning. Once people see the green thumbs, people automatically assume your opinion is correct, and they automatically start to suck your dick.

Sigh... I still thumbed you anyway, but only because I do actually think you're right.

All these edgy teenagers ITT are ******* hilarious. The guy in the gif killed a cop, of course they're going to beat the **** out of him: He ******* deserves it. Better yet, my tax dollars won't have to pay for his incarceration if he's dead. Keep on having that "**** THE POLICE I'M SO HARDCORE AND EDGY I HAVE AN 11PM CURFEW" attitude children, you'll understand one day.

i don't care what he did, police have the responsibility to be morally upstanding, not vindictive or angry. he should be tried by an impartial court, not by some irrational nutcase.

yea thats good and all but thats not how are system works there are checks and balances to keep our system fair and the police should always set the example and be more morally upstanding than the average citizen

Sure, because if you catch someone that killed your brother or sister, it's morally wrong to beat the **** out of them. According to you. And only you.

That's fine and dandy: Let me give you a badge, and then I'll shoot your friend in his ******* face. After a long car chase, I'll get in a car-accident and you'll arrive on scene. But remember, don't harm me! Treat me like any other suspect (even though you saw me kill him).

Could the officers have handled it better? Of course. Do I criticize them for kicking the guys teeth in? Not at all.

im not saying in this instance only and im sure none of you have been on the other side of the laws wrath have you. I've been to jail 6 times for one arrest and each time had my rights stripped from me and seen first hand how dirty cops really are you might not like to think so but not every person that goes to jail deserves it

That's not how the police should operate. The police should do their job by the book and arrest the guy, not being a bunch of mindless cavemen and get their feelings get the better out of them. Pissed off cops will often pull you aside for no reason, give you a ticket for no reason, just because they had a ****** day or whatever. This is exactly why cops get away with anything, like that cop that killed the mentally retarded guy.

I have been pulled over b cops a couple of times, and had to deal with them. If you are nice to them and courteous, then typically nothing will happen, as all but one of my cases.

The one case where i didnt get away with what i was doing, i overtook 4 cars around a bend i clearly could not see around, and was driving 40-50 miles per hour over the speed limit, with children in my car. Dont get me wrong, that was the dumbest **** i have ever done, and havent done that ever again. Speaking courteously to the officer, took responsibility for my actions, he let me off with a fine. I could have lost my licence then and there. Funnily enough as i went to the station the next day to speak with an officer, i met up with an older officer. He was surprised to hear what i got after he knew who gave me the ticket and what i was doing.

Respect can go a long way. So grow up, and mature.

And that's exactly why you are not a cop. How are they right there any different than you beating a guy because he killed somebody close to you? Why do we even have police officers if everyone thinks "It's okay to beat him up since he killed a cop". We expect police officers to be professional at all times and follow the law by the book, otherwise you always end up with cops who abuse their authority and get away with it (like they have been doing).

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1383924/Police-officer-Patrick-Larrison- takes-drunk-teenage-girl-15-violent-attack.html

The story behind that gif. It may seem harsh, but it's at least partially understandable why the officer reacted that way, in my opinion. According to the article it's clear she had that annoying "I'm a 15 year old girl, so i can do what i want and you bitches can't do **** about it" attitude, which is infuriating as ****. Not that i think it's okay to attack a 15 year old girl like that, but i can understand why he was pissed off like that.

15 year old, arrogant, drunk girl that assaulted teachers and other students.
