Metal is put into electromagnet, which suspends it in the air. This causes some sort of reaction within the metal itself, which heats the **** out of it. It begins losing electrons to the magnet, and eventually it loses its magnetic properties, and falls to the floor as a liquid, which quickly solidifies due to its low freezing point.
I read about this somewhere a long time ago, that's what I remember, hope this helps

To anon who knows his **** .

Ferromagnetism isn't only a word, it's the correct reason for that piece of metal loosing it's magnetic properties. So stop trying to sound like a smart ass, and CHECK YOUR ******* FACTS BEFORE YOU POST! LIKE LOOK IT UP IN A BOOK OR SOMETHING.

LIKE FOR EXAMPLE THIS ******* BOOK HERE;

Rayner-Canham, G; Overton, T; Descriptive Inorganic Chemistry, Page 15.

Sincerely Keyoke the chemist.
